The forthcoming PlayStation 4 port Borderlands: The Handsome Collection will not include the original Borderlands, so franchise fans may be relieved to learn that multiplayer has been patched back in to the ageing PlayStation 3 release. The title was rendered offline-only following GameSpy's closure last year, but Gearbox has teamed up with engineering specialist 22nd Century Toys to get players connected again.
Bizarrely, the developer's actually put a lot of work into this late patch, offering enhanced voice chat functionality, the ability to sort friends, and even a long overdue Trophy fix. "Thanks to everyone for your patience as we worked to find a solution, and special thanks to the folks at 22nd Century Toys for helping to make this happen," a studio spokesperson said. Credit where credit's due – this is proper post-release support.

Huh, looks like maybe the platinum isn't entirely lost to me after all! There was no way I was going to grind it out to Lv50 solo, and also there's that trophy that required playing with someone else who had that trophy (initially obtained I think by playing with a member of the Gearbox team). Shame I don't have the time to actually go back and finish it off!
Please tell me they fixed the "do all the missions" trophy. I, for the life of me, couldn't complete it simply cause the "Turn in the shield" mission glitched on me on each play through (I did it 3 times for each character), leaving me with 1 mission left undone. I was cheated out of my platinum because of it.
Anyone wanna play hit me up I'm gonna start from the beginning because my old save file was lost when I got a new ps3
