It wasn’t part of the PlayStation Experience keynote, but Sony Santa Monica has just confirmed that it’s working on a brand new God of War, presumably for the PlayStation 4. While no assets, logos, or screenshots have been released, director Cory Barlog – who’s most famous for helming God of War II – confirmed the tidbit as part of a retrospective panel at Sony’s fan convention earlier today.
We suspect that this will probably remain a secret until E3 next year, when it’s sure to be ready for a full unveiling. It’s going to be interesting to see whether the developer attempts to prolong the already drawn out plot of protagonist Kratos, or switches things up with a new mythology and cast of characters.
