FIFA 15 PS4

That didn’t last long, did it? To be fair, a quick glance at the release calendar would have told you that Destiny wouldn’t be dominating the UK sales charts forever – especially with FIFA 15 looming on the horizon. And, unsurprisingly, it’s the soccer simulation that’s knocked Bungie’s first-person shooter off the top, rocketing straight into a championship winning spot.

Incredibly, the footie favourite sold so many copies that it made up for a whopping 80 per cent of the week’s total software spend. Even more impressively, 54 per cent of FIFA 15's sales stemmed from the PS4 and Xbox One, which reaffirms that the previous generation is very much being left behind. Perhaps cross-gen titles will be dropped sooner than we think, huh?

Elsewhere, Disney Infinity 2.0 once again played around in third, while Call of Duty: Ghosts and Watch Dogs filled out the fifth and sixth spots respectively. Minecraft: PS3 Edition continued to drop blocks in ninth, as Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare maintained its steady growth in tenth.
