Sony has recently announced a superhero themed re-release of the popular title LittleBigPlanet PS Vita, appropriately titled LittleBigPlanet PS Vita: Marvel Super Hero Edition. Aside from having a ludicrously long name, the game will be exactly the same as the charming adventure that you remember, but with a plethora of Marvel related content included. Currently only planned for European release, the game will be launching on 19th November.
Some might see this as a cynical way of repackaging an already released game with a few extra features, but we can't help but be charmed by the title's adorable patchwork superheroes. Oh, and the price point too, which is a very reasonable €19.99 (£16). Now that won't make your wallet Thor.
Will you be double dipping on LittleBigPlanet PS Vita: Marvel Super Hero Edition, or did you already play the original version? Don a cape in the comments section below.

I'm still mad there's not gonna be any interaction between Little Big Planet Vita and Little Big Planet 3. I think if they had made it so that you can use the Vita as a touch screen interface to create levels for little big planet 3 on PS4 or release a separate create app that lest you create levels on Vita to play on PS4 it would have really helped Vita sales...... Hardcore LBP creators would have certainly buy one just for the convenience of creating with a touch screen interface
Don't have LBP on my Vita yet so I might pick this up. I'll probably get it from the PS Store though if it's available there. Actually I could probably just get it right now since it's just the base game with an expansion pack if I'm not mistaken. And last time I checked LBP Vita was pretty cheap on the PS Store (€15 iirc).
@DualWielding Hey, that could have been pretty neat.
I doubt it would have helped Vita sales though. I think it's really time to stop being so melodramatic about PSVita sales (and Wii U sales) and to constantly think about things that would "help Vita sales". It's a given that PSVita just doesn't have the big mainstream appeal that would cover a large demographic. Let's just face that and move on. Doesn't mean that Wii U and PSVita are bad systems or something, they are simply not as popular as other devices. Whether something is popular or not, I don't see how it would affect someone's enjoyment on a personal level. So personally, I think there's no need to care so much about system sales.
I've yet to buy it so I would've totally ordered it if it were being released in the U.S. but I guess my money isn't good enough.
Do we know yet if it will be getting a physical release?

Oh only Europe -_-
Same week as LBP3 as well. Looks like Sony wants a new LittleBigPlanet on each platform before Christmas. Makes sense.
@Punished_Boss yep first day purchase for me, I have serious LBP issues
@get2sammyb If I were Sony and in light of Microsofts reported move for Minecraft, I'd be looking to get LBP on iOS and Android devices. Don't get me wrong I'm not for one minute suggesting Sackboy is on a level of Steve & Creeper.... we don't even watch children's tv in the morning anymore, it's the latest StampyLongHead Minecraft Lets Play video that they watch whilst eating breakfast but it is the one franchise Sony have that I feel still has the potential to massively expand it's popularity amongst 5 - 16 year olds, whilst like Minecraft having the depth to engage adults as well.
My boys (5 and 8) both love LBP and Sackboy. Toggle, Oddsock & Swoop have gone down very well also (admittedly they've grown up in a house of Playstation). How many years has it been since LBP2 though? In that time Minecraft, Skylanders, Disney Infinity and Lego have come around and followed up with new and engaging titles, updates or concepts.
Maybe the announced Run Sackboy Run mobile title is the first steps along this path?
I sold my copy of LBP Vita at GameStop. You beat it once and there's almost nothing to do. All the colors look dull and drab so I didn't like looking at it. And they kept on releasing updates for DLC compatibility. The whole thing was just a waste of space. I think it was easily the most overrated Vita game.
I cant help but think this should be called:
LBP 2.0 Edition Marvel Super Heros
I just realised is it LBP just with the marvel DLC
You guys think current LBP PS vita owners will be able to upgrade to this version?
@artemisthemp That's actually a good point. I was considering double-dipping, but being able to upgrade would certainly soften the blow on my wallet.
