"This is my 'not impressed' face"

Final Fantasy XV’s demo was so close that we could almost smell the scent of TRESemmé on protagonist Noctis’ hair – but there’s a snag. Despite the wording in the original announcement suggesting that the sampler would launch alongside Final Fantasy Type-0 HD in March, a community representative for Square Enix has distanced the firm from that fast approaching deploy date.

“The release date of the Final Fantasy XV demo has not been confirmed, and we will announce more details closer to the release of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD,” wrote a cautious Dan Seto on Square Enix's official website. “We will try our best to make sure that you don't have to wait long, but at the moment we can't confirm a specific date.”

Considering that we’ve waited approximately eight long years for the JRPG formerly known as Final Fantasy Versus XIII, this is a bitter pill to swallow. Hopefully, this is just a case of the company covering its back in case something catastrophic occurs – such as a global shortage of hair conditioner, or an incident similarly tragic. There’ll almost certainly be hell to pay if not...
