Final Fantasy XV’s demo was so close that we could almost smell the scent of TRESemmé on protagonist Noctis’ hair – but there’s a snag. Despite the wording in the original announcement suggesting that the sampler would launch alongside Final Fantasy Type-0 HD in March, a community representative for Square Enix has distanced the firm from that fast approaching deploy date.
“The release date of the Final Fantasy XV demo has not been confirmed, and we will announce more details closer to the release of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD,” wrote a cautious Dan Seto on Square Enix's official website. “We will try our best to make sure that you don't have to wait long, but at the moment we can't confirm a specific date.”
Considering that we’ve waited approximately eight long years for the JRPG formerly known as Final Fantasy Versus XIII, this is a bitter pill to swallow. Hopefully, this is just a case of the company covering its back in case something catastrophic occurs – such as a global shortage of hair conditioner, or an incident similarly tragic. There’ll almost certainly be hell to pay if not...

I can wait.
I hope they're just being cautious!
SquareEnix has become one of the biggest jokes in the industry and doesn't get near enough sh*t as it should.
@Gamer83 the reason they don't get the "crap the should" is because when they do release a game, it's usually mind blowing. i am NOT saying that in recent years there haven't been missteps, but they are improving, learning from their mistakes, making better games, and in the end, that's all i want from them.
@zerotheclown
Well, good that you still enjoy SE's games. Unfortunately, I haven't been impressed in a very, very long time. I'm also still slightly mind-f*cked by the idiotic decision to screw over the PS fanbase in regards to Tomb Raider.
Well take your time, we don't need overhyped game that don't deliver
Make it like Destiny, great Alpha and Beta experience and it will be good for both players and developers/publishers
@divinelite I hope final fantasy delivers a better experience than destiny. In my opinion it is overhyped and repetitive.
@Mrskinner actually after watching latest trailer I kinda worry the action is not great enough, but I hope it delivers
Oh and Destiny I only play Beta with friends and it is a blast. Haven't got time to play the game because of Diablo
Now that stinks, bad. It can't be too far behind right? I mean they won't bundle an October demo with Type-O right? I know they can't, but eight years is telling me otherwise...
.....sigh. Well it would be super weird for them to give you a code with the game that wasn't valid until some unknown later date so very likey they will try to have the demo available in march. Im more interested in finding out if Type 0 HD will be available digitally and if you can still get the 15 demo code if you buy digitally.
I'm going back to my "it's never coming" stance.
Who else but Square Enix? Could play with our hearts?
They also tease you for long periods, but seriously that ost is godlike.[youtube:PdjlI4PeEbI]
@Jazzer94 @Punished_Boss Ok, seriously how do you link Youtube and Gif in the comments.....?
@Alpha
Bolded is what you need for YouTube videos after the equal sign. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KSOMA3QBU0
@Punished_Boss Alright. Thank you btw
@Alpha Now I'm done, you can test it out.
@Punished_Boss
Did it! Thank you so much! I really Appreciate it
The graphics look amazing yeah, but is the game play any good? I'll need to see more. FF13 disappointed me.
Even if it's not ready by the time Type 0 launches, I'm sure it won't be that much longer.
Square should seriously consider not promoting a FF installment until the game is much closer to completion. Instead, they really hype the game in the early stages, and have us wait for an indefinite number of "years", only to be disappointed when it finally launches. Not holding my breath on this one.
@JaxonH - The FFXV demo will be out within 12 days of Type-O.
@Punished_Boss -"Who else but Square Enix? Could play with our hearts?"
Ooh ooh ooh I know, I know, call on me Mr. Kotter, call on me.
“The release date of the Final Fantasy XV demo has not been confirmed"
I think they are taking a page out of Nintendos handbook. They know the date, and they know they told us the date, and now they're just denying it all for a big announcement later.
@rjejr lol...
@Gamer83 They are indeed a horrible publisher - not EA or Capcom level yet, but still. I don't play many of their games, but the thing that put SE on my **** list is the abomination of a game called Nosgoth. Fans of the Legacy of Kain series wanted another game for years or at least a remaster of the old titles, but instead we got a free to play MOBA. When the game doesn't do well it will bury the franchise.
So yeah. I'm not happy with Square.
