Still fuming over that Rise of the Tomb Raider exclusivity announcement? Yeah, we’re a bit sore, too – but we’re currently consoling ourselves with the indelible image of Nathan Drake stomping on Lara Croft’s perfect face. That’ll learn her. Still, as developer Crystal Dynamics so valiantly pointed out in its apology post yesterday, the acrobatic archaeologist is getting a new game on the PlayStation 4 – and it’s totally set to raid your wallet this year.
A sequel to the brilliant Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, the similarly named Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris is a four player isometric shooter designed around co-operative play. So, it’s not exactly a looker – but the original was outstanding fun with a friend. This appears to maintain the same variety as its predecessor, and if nothing else, it’s nice to see the protagonist in the iconic aqua tank top again, isn’t it?

They can't be serious.
@Ginkgo Oh, they are!
Hahahaha what a pièce of crap! Sony need to show uncharted and blow Tomb (moneyhat) raider of the charts!
ummm yeah, I don't think so Crystal Dynamic. I honestly think they kind of screwed themselves over with that deal and Square Enix isn't a stranger to making very dumb business decisions. eeeesh
Seriously, though, Guardian of Light was really good. But this is supposed to be like a warm up before the real thing. My hype has been drained following yesterday's announcement.
It's better than nothing... oh wait, no it isn't. Truly awful. The Stargate music does not help. I'd love it to sell more copies than rise of wotsit.
@get2sammyb Seriously, why are they even bothering.
Lol I did not expect comments like these above, I thought people were excited for this game. LOL.
@XFsWorld ROFL Are you excited for this game?
By the way, I played part of P.T yesterday and it scared the @#$% out of me o.O
No I won't (unless Square Enix send me a copy for free)
@Demi_God No Lol, Bullet Time seems to be cooler than this (iPhone game).
@XFsWorld As above, yesterday's announcement has taken the sheen off this a bit. I was pretty excited for it, and will still play it, but... I dunno, maybe it's just 'cos the exclusive thing is still raw.
@XFsWorld You spit in my face on Tuesday, I'm not about to take you to the movies on Wednesday, no matter how much I was looking forward to it on Monday.
To be fair I wouldn't have bought this game anyway (I think the first one was free on PS+ and I didn't even touch it then) but when you treat your loyal fanbase the way that they got treated yesterday, is it any wonder they don't want to give you (them) any of their money?
I must be the only one here who never liked the Tomb Raider franchise but fully enjoyed Guardian of Light. Played it with a friend and loved it. Having said that, there's no way I'm buying this. Not after SE's disrespectful decision. I really hope this and every TR game flops until SE sells the ip to a more worthy publisher. From now on I'm only buying used copies of SE games.
And no thank you, Square Enix. I will not be excited.
"Still fuming over that Rise of the Tomb Raider exclusivity announcement?"
Still can't believe it!
Then again I think Sammy is right in that it's only an Xbone exclusive for 2015 meaning PS4 will get it 2016... (I friggin hope so anyway)
That "apology" was a massive farce.
"Dont worry, youll get a game on PS4, it wont be anywhere near the hugely funded, largely open, graphically marvellous game that 90% of our time and effort has gone into, but youll get this small, fun PSN game."
That would be more accurate.
How can a company claim they are all about their community and fans then cut out a vast percentage!
Looks pretty good......if I were loading it up on the tape player on my Amstrad CPC464! Could play it a long side Fruit Machine and Roland on the Ropes.
@ToOGoodOfAPlaya "How can a company claim they are all about their community and fans then cut out a vast percentage!"
I know that is so hypocritical and wrong. I agree that their explanation was ridiculous. I would have had much more respect for them if they just said Microsoft gave them a big wad of cash rather than try and blag us with a load of complete BS...
Their silence is the worst thing. They should properly explain the their PS fans why they have REALLY done this imo...
This pretty much sums it up.

I amended 4 star rating of TR on PS4 store to a 1 star because I'm pretending that will make a difference.
@thedevilsjester Lol what? Haha
@XFsWorld To be clearer, people do not generally buy products in a vacuum. If the company trying to sell you the product has recently spit in your face (like Square/CD did to Playstation fans yesterday, with the same IP even) you are not likely to throw money in their direction so soon.
I loved Guardian of Light so I definitely be getting this. Not gona ignore this just because of MS BS.
People shouldn't go near this crap. Whenever the Complete Edition of Rise of the Tomb Raider arrives, I can understand waiting until it hits the bargain bin and buying that game, but that's all the money CD should get from the part of the PS fanbase that will be desperate to play the game. Ideally they wouldn't get any at all, shouldn't be allowed tell the people on the brand who bought more copies of your game to f**k off and then still make out like bandits. I will be sick to my stomach if a good number of PS4 players buy this half-a$$ed garbage.
