NetherRealm Studios’ beefy EVO presence may have centred upon the unveiling of Raiden for Mortal Kombat X, but creative director Ed Boon had an additional meaty morsel to share with hardware manufacturer Mad Catz as part of an interview shot during the show. According to the veteran, a guest fighter from a different franchise will be added to the spine ripping sequel as post-release DLC.
The unpleasant property is no stranger to cameos, with Freddy Krueger and Kratos popping up in the previous edition on the PlayStation 3. Given the studio is a Warner Bros subsidiary, some kind of DC Comics character seems to make the most sense, but we reckon that Harry Potter antagonist Voldemort would be a real inspired addition. Which fictional fighters would you like to see torn to shreds by Shao Kahn? Finish us in the comments section below.

" a guest fighter from a different franchise will be added to the spine ripping sequel as post-release DLC." yaaaaay dlc already.
how about finishing the game first eh.
@TOMBOY25 Got to take orders for the Season Pass, innit!
Pinhead from Hellraiser would be a perfect fit imo. I don't mind season passes, it's when they release content outside of it. Injustice was terrible for that, Martian Manhunter & Zatanna were heavily demanded but when they were released, it was outside of the season pass because it only covered 4 extra characters. Season passes need to cover all future DLC for the game.
Pinhead is a really nice suggestion! I'd also love to see some Helghan Trooper or that guy from Manhunt! Just thinking stupidly. I think Pinhead is really nice though.
Michael Meyers from Halloween would be my pick.
Michael Myers and Pinhead are awesome suggestions. Seriously. The other characters would collect much virtual dust if one or both of those were included.
Alright dude first of all no one knows if shao kahn is even going to be in this game, let alone be a boss of some sort. If I remember correctly he dies in mk9 and if they continue on with the story there's a pretty good chance he won't be ripping anyone to shreds.
Second of all, superman vs sub zero? Really? They will never allow any dc character to have their spine ripped out or be decapitated which is exactly why mk vs dc was rated T. So you can rule out anyone from DC.
Sorry to point out the holes in your article.
I would be fine just having Kratos appear in this title again. Dude's a freakin' POWERHOUSE, and despite what some might say, I can actually kick some pretty serious arse online when I use him.
Anyway, NetherRealm has already stated that they don't want repetition, so I'm sure he won't be included again. But I'm sure I'll end up a fan of whoever is this time around. :B
Sweet Tooth would fit perfectly
@THEundying27
Why so serious?
He's just wondering what characters people would want in the new Mortal Kombat, if were given the choice...
Here's an idea, be confident in the game without the pointless addition of non-MK characters to try and capture a few extra headlines.
I want Raiden from MGS Rising.
I want Kratos from God of War.
I want Rorshach from Watchmen.
I want Predator from Predator.
I'm out of ideas.
Pinhead would be pretty cool. Alien -Xenomorph Queen? Delsin Rowe? Batman? My personal favourite would be SPAWN!!!
If like to see the terminator or riddick (vin diesel)
If they are going to put any DC Comic book character in Mortal Kombat, it should be LOBO.

deathstroke would be an awesome addition (like in mk vs dc universe)
First they need to fix the online, cause I couldn't play it on my ps3😠 but I would like to see The Incredible Hulk be finished off from marvel cause that big green machine gets stronger when his upset 💥👊
