Mega publisher EA must be feeling generous, because the fantastic FIFA 14 is getting a free update that adds an entirely new FIFA Ultimate Team mode that's based upon the upcoming World Cup.
Available to download on 29th May on both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, the patch will slot the new take on FIFA's most popular mode into your game. However, it's worth pointing out that this particular addition won't work together with the existing FUT component, which means that you won't be able to transfer players between the two. Instead, you'll be building your perfect team from athletes who will be present at this summer's big event.
If you want to read about the update in detail, the official website may be a good place to start, or you can always take a look at the trailer that we've embedded. Needless to say, this is a rather robust addition to a title that's already packed with content. Have you caught World Cup fever yet? Who would make the team in your ultimate eleven? I enjoyed Fifa for few months but FUT is a disgrace. They must make a ridiculous amount of money from it regardless of any free add ons
So this makes what different than fifa world cup edition?
New Trophies?
This is awesome news. Now I can play the World Cup on my PS4. Yeah!!!

@GrafUlrich88 I totally agree!!, this is great news and being free is the cherry on top!! Whoop can't wait to download this and have a bash!!
EA does 'FREE'?!?! COOL tho! But i am to addicted to the game as it is & this will make it even worse :-/ Oh well;) + I think you can just play a non-FUT mode to as a World Cup Tournament Mode for the PS4 which is SUPER-COOL
They should put Landon Donovan in the update and see if he gets picked for anybody's team.
