Mojang’s cube cuffing blockbuster Minecraft will boast a greater draw distance on the PlayStation 4, port house 4J Studios has revealed. The next-gen iteration of the outrageously popular indie release will allow you to see much further than its PlayStation 3 counterpart, making various vistas look fuller as a consequence.
The UK-based developer demonstrated its point by posting a direct comparison between the two versions on Twitter. In addition to the enhanced horizons, the updated bricklaying adventure will also feature bigger world sizes, though it won’t boast the infinite maps found in the PC edition. The game’s due out on the PS4 sometime this summer.

more importantly, have they confirmed anything about cross-buy yet? I'll most likely get the Vita version regardless, but I'm not paying again for the PS4 version... I'm fine with the PS3 version.
@daveh30 You can transfer your saves. I wouldn't count on it being cross-buy, though.
@get2sammyb Terraria has cross save and that too you had to but separately 😰
4k pixels. Truly the next step in video game innovation
I thought the increased draw distance would've been further than that Only looks minor from the screenshots
@MadchesterManc 36x bigger world sizes oh yes!
Any word on 1.06?
They said that the size of the worlds on PS4 would be roughly 30 times the size of the worlds on PS3. So looking forward to this.
@get2sammyb Cross-buy definitely seems out of the question. If the PS3 version is specifically called "Minecraft: PlayStation 3 Edition", then the other two versions will also be named according to their platform. This will pretty much label them as separate games (and a huge delight to trophy hunters such as myself ), so they will only be treated as separate purchases. At least, this is what I think, haha.
Waiting for vita
