Hey there hot stuff

While Valentine's Day may only be around the corner, some of our writers are more interested in scaring themselves silly than snuggling up with a romantic visual novel. Assuming that you're not too busy trying to track down roses or crying in a corner, though, do let us know which games you'll be gorging on this weekend. Go on, you know that you want to.

Having been struck down with every disease known to man this week – and some that have just been discovered – I’ll be spending my weekend playing a game called ‘sleep’. At its core, this title involves lying on a soft mattress and closing your eyes. I can’t say that it’s especially difficult, but I’m hoping that the longevity’s good.

After a whole week of watching friends and enemies die under horrific circumstances in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc for our review, I'll be sitting in the corner of the office still trying to come to terms with what transpired within the walls of Hope's Peak Academy. If I'm feeling better, I might boot up the ol' Toukiden: The Age of Demons demo and max it out before slaying my way into the full release.

I still haven't put down Persona 4 Golden since I bought it, it's just that good. We're into the Summer months now at Inaba, and things are really heating up. Hopefully I can solve this mystery within the next few weeks and then be ready to jump head-first into more games like Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, Ys: Memories of Celceta, and maybe Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster. Oh, and who can forget Muramasa: Rebirth? All in time for the Japanese release of Persona 4: Dancing All Night. Who says that the Vita has no games?

Back in 1989, I thought that adding dragons, magical pixies, and an axe wielding dwarf to the Double Dragon brawling genre was inspired in arcade Golden Axe. With Vanillaware's modern hand-drawn take on the fantasy fighting formula, I will definitely spend more time levelling up in Dragon's Crown on the Vita.

This weekend will involve a lot of running away in Outlast as I try and build up to completing the game on 'Insane' difficulty. I'll most definitely need a breather, and in light of Damien's recent article on Psygnosis, the Amiga will be getting a dust off. There will be disk changes aplenty and swearing galore as I work my way through the Shadow of the Beast Trilogy. Here's hoping that the upcoming PS4 reboot of the original game isn't quite as frustrating.

There are so many games to play and so little time. This weekend, though, I will be laid back drinking with my friends playing some Mario Party 5 [Mario who? - Ed]. Hopefully we will still be friends at the end of it. The rest of my time will be spent with my 3DS practically glued to my face as I attempt to put a dent into Bravely Default. Will I be brave or default, I have yet to decide. [And I'm not sure what site I'm reading anymore, Edwin - Ed]

This weekend I'll be continuing my quest to complete all of the console Metal Gear Solid games before the release of Ground Zeroes. So far I've snuck through Shadow Moses, bettered the big shell, prowled the Russian jungle, but now I find myself deep in South America attempting to rescue a famous geneticist. It's going to be a good weekend.

This Saturday I will spend it like many, regretting plenty of actions I don't ever remember making. Hopefully this will only be in The Wolf Among Us: Episode 2 - Smoke and Mirrors. After my heart has been ripped in two for the second time, I will be rectifying my PS3 cardinal sin by finally playing Uncharted: Drake's Fortune.

Since I’ve already been having nightmares about playing Outlast, I thought I might as well find out this weekend if the dream matches the reality. If it does it’s going to mess up my sleep pattern for some time to come. What can I say? I scare easy. I’ll no doubt also be enjoying a few rounds of Battlefield 4, a game that I keep coming back to while I wait for Titanfall. [Titan-what? - Ed]

I plan to spend this weekend avoiding starvation and angry Beefalo in the incredibly charming Don't Starve. I'm completely hooked on beating my 26 day record and am three Trophies away from finishing it. Well, at least until the DLC drops later this year.

I'll be playing Outlast. Alone. In the dark. With noise cancelling headphones. And an extra change of clothes on hand. Just in case. And then once I've been thoroughly petrified by Red Barrels' handiwork, I'll move on to Episode Two of The Wolf Among Us.

I managed to acquire Ratchet and Clank: Into the Nexus last year and plan to play it soon, but I'm going to delve into Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty first, which was free with the game. I never took the chance to play Quest for Booty, so it'll be a nice re-introduction to mastering the series' core mechanics once again before trying Into the Nexus.

Honestly, this weekend I'll be diving back into LEGO Marvel Super Heroes on the PS4. I've been itching to jump back into the Marvel universe in block form and achieve that Platinum Trophy for some time. It's time to assemble my team, freefall off that Helicarrier, and score 100 per cent completion.

I'm getting married next Friday, so my weekend will mostly consist of sitting in relative's living rooms, or travelling between extremely expensive shops. Thankfully, the fine people that bought Surge Deluxe have absolutely thrashed me on the leaderboards, so I get to carry my Vita about with me, getting increasingly wound up that I can't get a better score.

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition on the PS4 has taken me by surprise. I was never a huge fan of this particular style of gameplay, but there's just something about Tomb Raider that I can't put down. On PS3, I'll be finishing up the Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Valentine's quest line, and hopefully taking out some of the extreme mode primals to get a new bow for my Bard.

This weekend I will be summoning all of my courage in an attempt to complete a full play through of Outlast. It may take some nerves and many spare pairs of pants, but I will reach the end in many pieces.

Well that's another edition of 'WAYPTW' done, so now it's your turn to spill the beans. Will you be braving the dark and playing Outlast, too? Maybe you've got a date with your Vita planned? Whatever you're doing, we'd love to know in the comments section below. We're a bit weird like that.
