To coincide with the Japanese launch of the PlayStation 4, Capcom's free-to-play dungeon crawler Deep Down has been graced with a new trailer, complete with a congratulatory message to platform holder Sony. There's also a fresh wallpaper, embedded above.
The video features a beautiful mix of cut-scenes and gameplay, with a real push on dark fantasy and horrifying enemies. The Dark Souls-esque RPG recently came under fire when it was revealed that it would not feature playable female characters. However, Capcom has since responded to this, stressing that there aren't many male characters in the game either.

It looks awesome!
@get2sammyb I'm really intrigued by it. It looks a lot like Dark Souls, which I absolutely love, so this is a good thing. Also cool that it's free-to-play!
@get2sammyb Agreed. I hope we get this soon. Even though Warframe was FTP too, it turned out alright with its FTP, not perfect, but good. So lets hope this does the same or even better!
Love the chair monsters from Beauty n the Beast. It really does look like they're going for top-notch graphics even tho it's free. Yay, so many folks in Japan are very happy right now
If this game doesn't have that amazing Dragon fire to the shield moment I will be disgustingly disappointed.
Hmm, I have been excited about this but the gameplay hasn't blown me away as of yet. Slightly off topic, does anyone think there is a chance of a dark souls 2 ps4 port?
Hmmm.... looks really cool =)
Hopefully there will be a beta or demo.
