Long time readers may remember that decidedly strange advertisement for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale masterminded by Robot Chicken. If you don't recall, we really can't blame you – we've been trying to forget it, too. In any case, it seems that the Robot Chicken team is at it again, unleashing this equally stymieing head-scratcher of a commercial for Killzone: Shadow Fall.
It sees Twisted Metal's Sweet Tooth attempting to make use of the DualShock 4's share button after a particularly impressive manoeuvre, only to be interrupted by an incensed Helghast soldier. The whole thing is rendered in the Adult Swim show's admittedly striking art style, but the pretty visuals aren't enough to make up for the cringe-inducing writing. WOW that was so awesome!
The All-Stars commercial was really good, though I agree that this one needed more work, but it wasn't as bad as the article makes it seem.
That kill was pretty awesome and it really highlighted the convenience of the share button, which was really good to see.
@Sanquine I can't believe Kratos is into planking, I just lost some respect for him.
@BornOfEvil I'm just really not a huge fan of Robot Chicken. Maybe I went a little overboard....
@k_andersen Nah, I thought it varied between good and absolutely terrible. The planking bit made me laugh - the rest not so much...
I expected worse after reading the article. Not terrible, not amazing either.
@get2sammyb if sony let robot chicken do commericals for the ps vita I wonder if sells would jump for the system lol
Taken as a stand alone item, it's not that bad. I'm not a fan of Robot Chicken, but found this mildly amusing.
What I don't like is this general trend of advertising games by not actually showing the game, or as in this case, just a brief clip of the game at the end.
I am a fan of Robot Chicken so that's why I love this lol

Robot Chicken's an acquired taste and even if you like it, it can be pretty hit or miss at times. That said, I liked the Playstation All Stars ad and I liked this one. The kill and the planking punchline both made me laugh out loud and that's not bad for a minute long commercial.
It was funny.
So i bought killzone SF on launch day. In reality i pre-ordered the game in the summer. I was switching from Xbox, so i didnt know what to expect. I hated the game. BUT, after seeing this funny ass commercial i thought i'd give the game another chance. I love this game now!!! "Thanks Share button!"
