With the PlayStation 4 now less than two months away from release, consoles are starting to trickle off Sony’s speedy production line. And one of those systems has already arrived in Europe, prompting UK PR manager Hugo Bustillos to post an Instagram video of the unit being switched on. Try to contain your excitement.
There’s not a whole lot to say about the system’s power up process. It makes a beep similar to the PlayStation 3, while the blue strip on the top of the device fades in and out in a subtle but classy manner. Alright, this isn’t the most amazing thing that you’re going to see all week – but it’s still worth a watch if you can't wait for your console.

I thought this would be dead on next gen.
I'll pass, I'm gonna stop watching these kind of things to try and preserve some of that new console magic. But good to know a big ball of flame isn't the result of turning it on.

Dang. I should manage GameStop and be a PR rep. Then Sony just throws Playstations at you, apparently. I really don't wanna know what it's like till it releases. It's like creepy 3d ultrasounds or knowing the gender beforehand. But some people just want to hear that baby cry its first. I'm gonna make a ps4 scrapbook lol
@charlesnarles I don't think any of this is going to take away any of the magic of when you actually get the console. It's one thing to see it online but it is another thing when it is actually in your hands and it is your console that you purchased.
I can't see the console boot up. Ill I see are those two images at the bottom

I could've done without the beep. I like to sneak in gaming sessions sometimes with my Pulse Elites handy and the beep just kills my splinter cellesque vibe. Wife catches me every time. Smh.

Iwas hoping for a new noise or higher pitched beep...but its all good! Since the teaser trailer in may I knew that light at the end of the trailer had something to do with the systems shell! I knew that light was gonna pulsate like a heart beat! I love it ...gives the Console more life just like the light bar on the DS4!!! Glad the console and controller have something that make them stand out! !! =,◇)
Would have been slick if the PS4 logo glowed... I foresee a future mod project coming on!
