If you’ve ever found yourself at ease aimlessly wandering through a torrential downpour, soggy clothes tugging heavily against your skin, then chances are you’re going to find yourself entranced by this brand new footage of Japan Studio’s intriguing Rain. As detailed in previous posts, the title sees you play as a boy who can only be seen when caught in the midst of a storm.
Perhaps the most intriguing thing about the gameplay is the way in which the title uses static cameras and scenery to place the narrative into the world. We’re also particularly impressed by the release’s use of objects in “dry” areas to make sure that you know where you’re going, even if you can’t actually see.
Sony’s planning to show more of the digital download at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco this week, so we’re sure that additional details will trickle in over the coming days. For now, though, let the latest gameplay footage wash over you, and let us know if you're ready to get drenched in the comments section below.

Looks awesome.
I'm definitely intrigued! Atmosphere and storytelling look great, and hopefully the gameplay mechanic will hold up well also. It's definitely a neat idea.
Well this game sure took a turn towards the creepy. I thought it was going to be much more peaceful, kind of like Flower. Anyway, really looking forward to it. I need to get a higher capacity HDD. My 80gb is all full upped.
Add in Puppetteer on 10th September and it looks like PSN is having another good year (although that's also a disc game now but never mind).
Certainly intrigued.
Looks interesting. I liked the clip.
