"Awight, geezer"

Now that critically acclaimed first-party developer Naughty Dog has expanded into two teams, we can safely assume that the studio is working on a new entry in the Uncharted franchise. After all, the series still hasn’t reached its full commercial potential, and we suspect that there’s plenty that the ambitious developer would like to achieve on next generation hardware.

Sadly, it’s been a while since we heard a peep out of Nathan Drake and company – but could Charlie Cutter's voice actor have broken the silence? Graham McTavish, the Scottish thespian that brought the tough man from Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception to life, Tweeted overnight that he had just got back from the first day of a new gaming related project. “It’s very hush-hush,” he said. “But I think it’s going to be rather good.”

McTavish is no stranger to video game voice acting, having loaned his larynx to titles such as Dante’s Inferno and inFamous 2 – but Cutter remains one of his more memorable roles. Late last week, the performer had promised to keep Uncharted fans in the loop about his future projects. It’s all speculation for the time being, of course, but we’d love Cutter to make a comeback in the inevitable next entry in the Uncharted saga. Which other characters would you like to see return?
