Patience is a virtue

Sony has squashed rumours suggesting that Quantic Dream's upcoming PlayStation 3 adventure Beyond: Two Souls is set to release on 25th May in North America. The date was touted when a PlayStation.com page updated with the information, but the platform holder has since admitted that the details were added as a mistake.

“We have not announced a release date for Beyond: Two Souls outside of the 2013 time frame,” a company representative clarified. “In fact, [director] David Cage recently shared that the title is preparing for the alpha version, so the date reported on the product site is incorrect and has since been updated.”

Of course, the eagle-eyed amongst you will have already noted that 25th May is a Saturday, which would be an unusual choice for a North American launch. Still, if the PlayStation 4 really is set to be announced at an event prior to next year’s E3, we have to imagine that Beyond: Two Souls isn’t too far away.
