Let's Face It, Mass Effect 3 Is Going To Have Multiplayer.

Multiplayer is certainly not what we want out of the franchise, but it would tick a few boxes for publisher EA. Eurogamer's the latest publication to tease some kind of online functionality for Bioware's space-opera, rumouring that the game will have a standalone four-player co-op mode.

Apparently the mode will feature a handful of missions separately from the campaign, and is designed to add replay value to the game. We suspect EA's got a few DLC sales in mind too.

Speaking with Eurogamer at E3 last week, Bioware gaffer Ray Muzyka would not confirm nor deny the co-op extension, explaining, "We haven't talked at all about multiplayer in the Mass Effect franchise, but we're exploring multiplayer in all of our games and all of our franchises."

That's a yes then.
