Ubisoft Has Accidentally Revealed The Name Of The Next Assassin's Creed.

We'll never forget when Sony uploaded an episode of Qore a few days early, giving everyone the scoop on the PSPgo before it was even announced.

While not quite as excessive, it does seem like Ubisoft has just accidentally leaked the name of its next Assassin's Creed game. It's called Assassin's Creed: Revelations.

The name popped up as part of a Flash screen on Facebook before being promptly removed. Thankfully, eagle-eyed viewers were savvy enough to capture some footage of the reveal. Investigative NeoGAF readers were also quick to capture some shots of the premature reveal, including the logo embedded above.

The cult video game forum reckons that Altair's name flashes up in Arabic during the teasing, potentially hinting at the return for the first game's protagonist. Personally, we hope not. While we've thoroughly enjoyed all three Assassin's Creed titles so far, the beauty of the franchise is its ability to hop between different characters and eras. It'd be disappointing if the latest game plopped us back into Altair's narrative.

Ubisoft previously said it was planning to announce the next Assassin's Creed game in May, so we anticipate we'll be hearing more about Revelations in the near future. The game will certainly play a big part at Ubisoft's E3 press conference in June too.
