Last week saw Insomniac Games hold a closed-doors event for gaming media, during which journalists got to take on the company's Move-enabled shooter Resistance 3. The video below shows off the grim-looking level called The Dark Woods of Pennsylvania, and it certainly lives up to its name.
The tense atmosphere coupled with the action set-pieces is pure Resistance, and the weapons on display should whet the appetite of hardened Chimera-killers, particularly with their alternate fire too.

Man, i really hope the frame rate increases till the release of this game, because in this video the frames were like in a stop motion video. When the guy reloaded the 44 magnum, in one second you see he taking out the bullets and in the same moment the gun is already loaded. I'm only beeing honest, and because it's a Resistance game, i know it'll improve.
At first the swamp setting reminded me of the one in Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition, but it is a nice touch the way in which it changes to ice halfway through the trailer. I think that Resistance 3 may struggle to meet the high standards of Killzone 3's visuals, although I do not want to underestimate Insomniac. It is hard to determine the strength of its visuals based on a mist covered Mississippi River level, though. Two huge Goliaths certainly add an epic feel to this video.
This game is on my radar now, purely because it includes full PS Move support. I wonder when we will hear about a release date.
****Edit: Do'h! The video says in its very last seconds that it is released in September 2011! I need to learn to not switch off a video before the last bits of blurb pop up!****
I can't wait for this! I really hope Insomniac nails the PS Move support, and the new visual style, and ADS are really nice touches to the series.
@JamieO... haha on the release date!
I've only just started Resistance 2 so will definitely be getting this when it is available now that it's Move compatible.
Definately be getting this game now that it supports Move. Resistance 3, Uncharted 3, Infamous 2 and The Last Gardian (if itcomes out this year) are on my radar for purchase this year.
