Some People Properly Love Warhawk. Like, PROPERLY Love It.

We've read the rumours about Warhawk 2, and weren't going to post them, but seeing as our inbox has been flooded [well, it was more like two or three messages - Ed] with links to Just Push Start's report, we'll damn well cover it, alright?

According to the publication, Sony recently held an event inviting fans of the 2007 Warhawk title to check out its successor. Presumably those people were all slapped with non disclosure agreements, but it's pretty impossible to shut people up these days. Hence this article, right?

According to the report, the successor will feature a full story mode and co-op. There'll also be 32-player multiplayer across a whopping 25 maps. The map count sounds kinda crazy, but Dylan Jobe's Lightbox Interactive studio has been working on this game for ages now. No word if it's set in space, as most previous rumours had suggested.

It also doesn't sound like the game will have the MMO hooks many of us expected. The report touts graphical and camera improvements, but that 32-player limit sounds pretty fixed to us.

While we can't speak for the validity of the report, we're certain Lightbox's title will be present at this year's E3. NGP cross-connectivity could still be a possibility.
