The first real boss fight encounter in the game, Snake will square off against Ocelot in the Bolshaya Past Crevice. This Metal Gear Solid Delta guide reveals how to beat Ocelot.
How Do You Beat Ocelot in Metal Gear Solid Delta?

As the first encounter of its kind in the game, it's important to recognise that bosses come with both a standard health bar and a stamina bar, displayed in the top-middle of the screen. You can beat bosses by dealing normal damage, or knock them out using your MK22 and other means.
You earn bonus Gear for defeating bosses in non-lethal ways. For beating Ocelot in this manner, you unlock a Uniform called Animals.

Ocelot uses two revolvers in this fight, meaning he can have access to a maximum of 12 shots before he needs to reload. This is displayed just below his health bar.
He'll hide behind three different rocks and a very large tree stump on the other side of the crevice, taking shots at you constantly. He also reloads out in the open, which makes for an easy window of opportunity to get some of your shots to land.
Choose a piece of cover close to the cliff edge, then track his movements in first-person. When a piece of his body is sticking out of cover, take your shot. Of course, shots to the head deal the most damage, but hits on his arms and legs work well too.
Other methods of dealing damage are:
- Shooting down the beehives on this side of the crevice
- Throwing a poisonous snake at him
- Throwing Grenades near him
Occasionally, the soldiers behind you might get involved and try to land some shots on you, but generally, they are really not something to worry about. Continue carefully picking your cover and your moments to duck out to deal damage.
If you find yourself low on health, eat some Food to speed up your HP recovery or use some Life Medicine if you happen to have some at this early point in the game.
