Horizon Forbidden West: How Do You Remove Headpieces?

How do you remove headpieces in Horizon Forbidden West? How can you take on and take off headdresses and head gear? In Horizon Forbidden West, most of the Outfits you find in the game come complete with a complementary headpiece, many of them rather outlandish. As part of our Horizon Forbidden West guide, we're going to tell you how you can turn off headwear if you're not a fan.

Horizon Forbidden West: How Do You Remove Headpieces?

While some of the headpieces on Aloy's Outfits can look great, others might seem a little over the top — especially during important story cutscenes. If you'd rather not have any head gear showing during the game, you can quickly and easily make that happen.

To remove headpieces, simply pause the game with the Options button. Select Settings, and in the General section, scroll all the way to the bottom. Here, you'll find the option 'Show Headpiece'. Using this toggle, you can choose whether or not any head gear appears on Aloy. If you want them off, simply select 'Off', then back out of the menus and resume the game. Voila!

Of course, you can easily enable them again by following the above steps and selecting 'On'. Having headpieces on or off does not affect any stats, so this will boil down to personal preference.
