God of War Ragnarok: The Broken Prison Walkthrough
The Broken Prison is a post-game Favour, only unlocking once you have completed The Realms at War. Once you've done this, travel to Niflheim via the Mystic Gateway at The Raven Tree. Approach the tree, and you'll notice to the left-hand side, there's a new pathway that wasn't there before. It leads to a mysterious new area. Jump across and walk along the path to find a large building. As it turns out, this used to be an Asgardian prison.
Climb down the wall and you'll be inside Aesir Prison Wreckage. Some Einherjar forces will be close by, so deal with them first. Next, throw a spear at the anchor point just below your level. Use this to reach the next level down. There will be some more baddies to fight.
Open up the cell door ahead to pick up 1,220 Hacksilver. Turn around and grab the chain to move the apparatus down a level, allowing you to descend once again. There are more Einherjar down here, so be ready for more combat. To the left is another cell you can open for 1,173 Hacksilver. Keep going around to the left to find a ledge you can hop up, but be warned — a Light Elf will drop in. Go up the ledge then turn around to find a weak wall you can smash through. Do this to open a new way up, which you'll need a bit later.
Go back down. Head forwards to deal with the Dark Elf that's been making so much racket. Next, go back out and find another spot you can throw a spear. This will let you down to the lower level once more. A few more Einherjar are waiting for you.
Head to the left to find another enemy in a cell to deal with. Continue around to the left and you'll find a cell with a flower inside. This is required to complete another Favour named Nine Realms in Bloom.
Go back up the way you came, via your thrown spear. Find another chain, and use it to pull the spear up a level. At this point, your two spears should be opposite each other. Return to the spot where the Light Elf dropped down, and grapple up a level.
Up here to the left is a Nornir Chest — click the link if you want info on how to open it. Open the door to the right and head through. Drop down a level to the right. Head over to the left and use the chain to move one of the spears up a level. Return up a level via the grapple point, then go over to the left and use the newly elevated spear to go up to a new spot.
Up here is a Legendary Chest, containing the Accessory Nocked Proficiency. To the left of it, you'll find an item on the floor beside a corpse. Pick it up. It's a Relic called Motsognir's Call. Head over to the right and open the door.
Go back down the way you came. Head to the right and use the chain to move the spear down to the lowest point. Drop down through the hole where you normally grapple up. Head out and over to the left, and use the spear to go down to the next level. One more Einherjar soldier awaits. At the back of this area is one more cell door for you to open. Once you discover what's inside, The Broken Prison will be complete.
