God of War Ragnarok: How to Beat The Hateful
The Hateful is a recurring optional boss. Although it's not especially impressive to look at, this hyper-aggressive opponent can be overwhelming if you don't keep up with its attacks. Much like Draugr Fiends, The Hateful uses dual axes to fight, and it shares some of the same moves as its generic counterpart.
However, The Hateful has some troublesome unblockable attacks that can be unleashed quickly. And again, it's an aggressive boss, so staying on your toes is a necessity. As aways, watch out for those red rings!
The Hateful's most annoying attack isn't really an attack, though. When it roars and coats itself in a fiery aura, your next attack will cause the foe to explode. To get rid of the aura without having Kratos be blasted into the nearest wall, you'll have to hit The Hateful with a ranged attack — but this can be difficult when the creature is always so keen on getting right up in your face.
It's all about spacing, then. Keeping on the move is a good strategy here, and always be ready to dodge around the boss' unblockables. Don't overcommit when The Hateful is open, and you should be able to outlast it.
