Don't let Ormstunga's size fool you. This little menace can be one of the game's most frustrating boss fights if underestimated. His attacks are annoyingly fast, and he has a habit of scurrying to safety if you don't lock him down with long combos and runic-based assaults.

Ormstunga loves to leap at you and try to slash your face off, but unlike his regular Grim brothers, this lunge comes out very, very quickly, and then after the hit, he'll bounce off Kratos and run away.

A decent strategy when trying to pin Ormstunga down is to stick a few spears into him, and then detonating them all at once. Actually hitting the target with your spears is easier said than done, however, as Ormstunga will often sidestep incoming projectiles without much fuss.

Patience is key, then. You need to try and stay on top of this wily creature as much as you can, while also making sure that you aren't attacking thin air. As difficult as it can be when facing such an annoying opponent, you need to wait for the right time to strike, or you'll just leave yourself vulnerable to his tongue whip, or the aforementioned leaping slash.

Arrows are also worth a mention for this fight. Have Atreus pelt him whenever you can, and sometimes, the projectiles will catch Ormstunga out, opening him up for a few additional hits.
