Will Ghost of Tsushima be on PS5? Sucker Punch's samurai game is one of the Best PS4 Open World Games, and we awarded it a strong 9/10 in our Ghost of Tsushima review. But will you be able to play Ghost of Tsushima on PlayStation 5? As part of our Ghost of Tsushima guide, we're going to dig into all of the information you need to know.

Ghost of Tsushima: Will It Be on PS5?

Ghost of Tsushima will be playable on PS5 thanks to PS5 backwards compatibility. Sony's said that you'll be able to play 1,000s of PS4 games on its next-gen system, and given Ghost of Tsushima's status within the system's library, it's on the list. It also uses PS5 Game Boost to run at 60 frames-per-second on the next-gen console. You can find out more about backwards compatibility and next-gen in general in our PS5 guide.

While the backwards compatible version will run better thanks to the PS5's hardware advantages, the company is also releasing a PS4 to PS5 upgrade in the form of Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut. In addition to haptic feedback and improved visuals, this version of the game will also bundle in the new Iki Island expansion and support better lip syncing for Japanese voiceover.

Ghost of Tsushima: Will It Be on PC?

There are currently no announced plans for Ghost of Tsushima to release on PC, although Sony has recently ported some PS4 exclusives like Horizon Zero Dawn to the platform. It's not impossible, but nothing has been confirmed at this point in time.

Ghost of Tsushima: Will It Be on Xbox?

No, Ghost of Tsushima is a first-party game developed by Sony subsidiary Sucker Punch, so it will not release on Xbox One S, Xbox One X, or Xbox Series X.
