Through the Maelstrom: Walkthrough
Through the Maelstrom begins immediately after you fast travel to The Naldia Narrow at the end of the last quest.
As soon as the quest begins, you'll be put in a fight against some enemies aboard the Black Galleon. Defeat them, then enter the door to continue. Look around for items as you proceed through the ship.
Atop the stairs, open the gate and watch the cutscene. You'll next need to beat another group of soldiers.
Once they're dealt with, open another gate and go down the stairs. Descend the ladder, then open a door on the right. Defeat the soldiers inside, then proceed through the next door.
Watch the cutscene. You'll then be in a boss fight against Barnabas.

- 1x The Will of Light (Impulse)
- 100x Steelsilk
- 100x Bloody Hide
- 2x Meteorite
- 6,500 EXP
- 500 Ability Points
- 6,700 gil
Watch the next cutscene. Afterwards, fast travel back to The Hideaway to end the quest.
Objective Log
- Search the Einherjar for Jill
- Defeat Barnabas
- Return to the hideaway
