Time Active: All day

Cheepoof

Description: These things never land. If only there was a way to catch them mid-air.

Time Active: 6am to 4pm

How to Catch: Requires the Lunchpad. Set this up nearby a Cheepoof, then place your Snak Trap on top. Aim the trajectory, then shoot the trap so it meets the Bugsnak in mid-air. Activate it right as the two meet.

Description: It zips around fast enough to evade traps, but eventually sets down to rest.

Time Active: 4am to 4pm

How to Catch: You'll see these flying about, but they do settle down after a while. To catch a Crystal Sweetiefly, wait for it to take a nap. Set down the Lunchpad, and pop your Snak Trap on it. Aim at the Sweetiefly, then launch the trap and press R2 when it's close enough. If needed, use the Snak Grappler to retrieve the trap.

Green Peelbug

Loves: Chocolate

Description: It hides inside the crevices of the Scorched Gorge.

Time Active: All day

How to Catch: Find one of the telltale small holes, and send the Buggy Ball through. Meet it at the other end, and the Green Peelbug should emerge. Set up your Snak Trap and lure the Bugsnak over with chocolate.

Poptick

Bugsnax PS5 PlayStation 5 PS4 All Bugsnax Scorched Gorge Guide 6

Loves: Cheese, Chocolate

Description: They are too small to catch in a trap, but maybe some heat will puff them up.

Time Active: All day

How to Catch: Popticks require being set on fire before you can catch them. Fortunately, they're usually near a Scorpenyo, which shoots out flaming peppers when agitated. Use the Sauce Slinger to cover a Poptick in Hot Sauce. The Scorpenyo will set it on fire, transforming it. In this new state, the Poptick can be captured by baiting it with chocolate or cheese into your Snak Trap.

Puffy Snakpod

Bugsnax PS5 PlayStation 5 PS4 All Bugsnax Scorched Gorge Guide 7

Ribblepede

Scorpenyo

Description: This snak lobs fiery peppers at anything that catches its attention.

How to Catch: There are two Scorpenyos, and one is much easier to catch. It's the one that's on the wall right above a pool of water. What you need to do is set up your Trip Shot so it crosses the creature's path. Be careful, it will shoot fire at your Trip Shot to destroy it, so this might take more than one go. However, once it's hit by the Trip Shot, the Scorpenyo will fall down and into the water, instantly putting its flames out, meaning it's ready to be caught in your net.
