Real-world Formula One drivers are fitter than most athletes, so F1 2021 unquestionably qualifies as one of the best sports games for PS4. Key additions include a cinematic story mode called Braking Point, which peeks behind the curtain of what it takes to make it onto the podium. There's also a co-op Career mode, which has comfortably steered this motorsport ace onto our list.

Everybody’s Golf has been largely the same game for decades, but with its inaugural PS4 instalment, Clap-Hanz elevated the formula by adding in plenty of customisation options and open world courses. Perhaps most importantly, the underlying click-click-click gameplay remains easy to execute but challenging to master.
