V is sick of his grubby back alley photoshoots and is wary of what comes next 😁:
Neo Noir:
Night City (selected the wrong animation, thought he was on his phone🤦♂️but it will have to do as I like the set up and the backdrop)
Red Lights & Rain:
Red lights:
They added (I guess) spotlights you can use too, so I need to find me a naturally blue lit area and experiment with some red spotlights. And I will see how I can break photomode to create some mad or unique sh** as well, at some point. Preem!
@Ravix If it wasn't for Panam being in one of those last shots I wouldn't have even guessed that was Cyberpunk as I don't recognise those areas at all. I love the last shot though as I'm a fan of low light shots.
@Thrillho yeah, I loved that location with the red light along the walls for that very reason, one simple light source, and V and Panam are only lit in the others because I used the spotlight feature. All it was was a little underpass into a covered stairway linking two streets that I almost tripped my way into, but lately I've found there's a tonne of little nooks hidden around the city streets that you only find if you happen to be escaping the law, or mindlessly wandering without a map marker. The city from an aesthetic standpoint is absolutely phenomenally well designed, and the people that got to design all these little areas must have had so much fun with it. It is hard to enter photomode in any location and make the game look bland, and everywhere has some kind of atmosphere.
@Ravix Yeah, I really enjoyed exploring on foot in my first play through as the “verticality” of Night City is amazing and there are so many random little areas that have amazing design.
I had quite a lot of fun with the photo mode each time I played the game.
I made edited photoshoot of ACNH with Corel Photopaint.
This is my fictional police department characters B.A.P.D. (Blue Asterion Police Department) with all the models by myself.
I took the pictures of 5 characters from the same room and same angle then I edited and put all the characters become one.
These are my fictional characters
1. Edward Georges (red outfits), detective police.
2. Jennifer White (blonde girl), detective police.
3. Dr. Marc Drummond (sitting on chair), officer chief
4. Charlie Vaughan (cheerful police), police captain
5. Clark Hugo (serious looking guy), detective police
Don't worry, partner (Wolfgang).
I will catch that pussycat (Felix Sandiego).
Yeehaw...!
If anyone has any ideas for movie scenes/stills that could be a fun challenge to recreate in game based photomodes, suggest them here. Hell if anyone is bothered we could make it a little weekly competition where we each try to recreate something. I don't know, weekends can be boring sometimes 🤷♂️😂

I'll likely be adding to the Jurassic World gallery because I haven't quite finished the second game (and don't even own the third yet) and the Tomb Raider gallery because those games' Photo Modes got post-launch upgrades which I wanna explore in a future playthrough.

@Werehog just checked out the Jedi series shots. Very nice 😄 The first one of the Droid - instantly awesome. Love the red and white pallette against the darkness. Same with the other silhouette shots. I'm a contrast and silhouette nerd, I think. I'm a fool for it. Most of my Yotei ones that aren't simple character shots have some kind of heavy contrast or silhouette. (I had posted some in the Yotei Thread, but it has vanished)
I might as well add my latest:
Kushiyaki / Urami (which I hope translates poetically)
A wolf in the snow
And a couple of simple silhouettes
I'll probably upload some of my previous shots from the Yotei thread at some point. As there were some I liked more than these latest ones.
@Ravix I did catch a glimpse of your previous screencaps in the Ghost of Yōtei topic, before it became a ghost itself. Here's hoping it can be restored, not least because more people should get the chance to enjoy your impressive artistry. I very much agree with you about silhouette shots, especially nowadays when graphics are so good and you can capture so many fine details, like hair, stubble, or indeed, the whiskers on a kitsune mask!
Excellent work with that wolf shot up there. I struggled to get a handful of majestic (a.k.a. bloodless) shots of her, but that's a beauty.
And thank you for the kind words about my own shots, too!

@Kairuuu imgbb.com is a slightly less good replacement. I've just been using it because I can't be bothered to make an account and it does quick uploads ala Imgur.
UK law has done a number on this thread as there are now great voids where there were once awesome uploads 😮💨
@Werehog thank you 🙏 I will have a good look through some of your other photo folders another day too. I know there will be lots to see 😄
And yes, it seems almost strange to think that when games have so much detail now that hiding a lot of that in favour of an outline would be a good idea, as there is lots taken away, but the tiny gaps, intricate edges and yes, even whiskers, add so much to such a simple concept. And I find them really pleasing.
The race is on to get the wolf's maw backlit as it takes a bite! (I'll try to remember to attempt something like that at some point, perhaps) the masks in the game are really awesome to study, too!
I'm in no way going to assume your taste in games, but if you do have a passing interest in driving games, Gran Turismo has a phenomenal photography suite in its "Scapes" mode. I love spending time in it and have done many satisfying shots, but I'd love to see what you could produce also!
First up, please share your Gran Turismo shots if possible, please!
I appreciate the recommendation! Alas, my relationship with driving games is most certainly a casual one. I had Gran Turismo 4 on PS2 and whilst I enjoyed it enough, I never really cared for the simulation aspect. I just wanted to go fast and do sick drifts like a proper teenager.
But it's funny you ask, because I just grabbed Need for Speed Unbound in the Black Friday sales and that, coupled with your question, reminded me that last year, I also played Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered... and it came with a rudimentary Photo Mode, so I do have a small selection of car shots to share! They're probably not as pretty as Gran Turismo, but here they are.
@Elfuggingjefe Thank you for saying so! Agreed on your point about style. For a PS4 version of a PS3 game, Hot Pursuit Remastered is still visually impressive, even by today's standards.
And no obligation to share any of your shots, by the way. I realised too late that I put the word "please" twice in my reply, but it was an accident, and not indicative of any pressure!
"If I let not knowing anything stop me from doing something, I'd never do everything!"
@Werehog Bit late to butt in here with the screenshots you assembled, but I absolutely adore the Tomb Raider one you highlighted above! I'm guessing the remasters come with a photo mode for you to be able to take that one? Impressive stuff getting that one so perfect mid-air!
@Tjuz Thank you! But I can't take all the credit because yes, the remasters do come with a Photo Mode, and it's an incredibly free one, with a huge range of poses, movement options, and a truly unlimited camera range, meaning you can pause the game and zoom through the entire level you're in, no matter where you leave Lara. I think for the shot in question, Lara was originally standing on the café awning, and I moved her out into mid-air before changing her pose, adding her sunglasses, making her hold her pistols, altering her facial expression... yeah, none of it was down to timing!
In fact, the only shot currently in the album that required timing was the one of the stealth fighter jet, and even then I think I reloaded my last quick save in order to properly capture it.
"If I let not knowing anything stop me from doing something, I'd never do everything!"
@Werehog I honestly don't understand why most games don't come with such a free photo mode! I imagine photo modes are hardly what take up a big part of development time, and the self-imposed limits some have on them seem rather arbitrary. Why not let me add as much zoom as I could possibly want? But well... even if it didn't require timing for this one specifically, you still have to have an eye for a good photo moment, which you most certainly do! Just made it all the more cool with the poses as well, so I reject your caveat! The fighter jet looks great as well. It's nice to see these old games modernised so well in terms of their visuals. While I'm not gonna pretend like you can't tell their age, they look so buttery smooth. Seems like some great work on those remasters.
I believe I actually own the remasters of 1-3 due to receiving them alongside something else in a bundle. Would you say they're worth trying for someone who doesn't have any nostalgia for the franchise? Any particular one you'd recommend above others, or just start with the original?
