Topic: Movemodo Nintendo Wii Fan Thread

Hey, we never were allowed to talk of such things on NL, so I don't know if we can here.

nope guys, the Community Rules here are pretty much the same as at NL, and note that there are no console-specific restrictions on either site regarding that particular portion. :3

This is almost as bad as watching the Nintendo e3 2010 press conference on my PS3

Love both my PS3 and Wii.  It's odd discussing the Wii in the Other Gaming section.

Just beat Vorash in Other M.  That was a fun battle!  It was a lot easier than that Rhedogian thing!

Why don't you guys just post on Nintendolife instead? I understand that it's an open forum, but why make a Wii fan thread when you could just use a Wii dedicated forum that share 70% of the members.

I think the idea was that this site would eventually develop its own community, distinct from Nintendo Life.  This way, if people wanted to set up online games, exchange friendcodes, or ask questions about Wii games, they could do that without having to navigate through the forums at NLife.  Right now, it's sort of redundant, because 80% of the people here are from NLife, but there's no obvious link/ad on the main page, so hopefully at some point, this site will take off and get a true community.

I think a Wii Thread here is great. NLife has always had a great community and one that can converse about multiple systems without talking rash about each others families, console bashing, etc.

Wii is a fantastic system and it isn't the reason Move exist as I'm sure both Wii and Move were in development around the same times, Wii has definitely broken the ice for Move to exist and has obviously been influenced over the last few years by Wii. I love how Wii gives a pick up and play style to gaming for just flat out fun and Move give a more simulation style experience with Wii Sports/Resort and Sports Championships. Owning all three is great and just expands how great motion control can be when used properly and how different it can be at the same time.

Honestly... how can you play Ping Pong on Wii Resort and say its not fun. Its insanely fun, heck the last time we and a few buddies played the sword fighting game on Resort I ended up on the floor laughing myself to tears. How can you talk bad about a system that can do that?

The only game worth playing on the Wii is Smash Bros. That's all. I wasn't impressed at E3 this year. And i'm prob gonna sell my Wii when Vita comes out.
