Topic: Moterstorm RC has a Platinum Trophy & Lumines Doesn't?

I just paid 5.99 for Moterstorm Rc and just seen it has a 24 Trophy's in total.  1 Platinum 7 Gold 8 Silver's and 8 Bronzes.

Lumines a full retail price game of 34.99 on PSN store has 13 in total. 1 Gold 3 Silver and 9 Bronze.

I know we should only be playing games for a great experience which i know Lumines has. But i know there many out there that like to see there rewards being payed off. Trophys is a great way to do that. And i think if your putting out a game at a full retail price you cant be leaving out that for people that like to see there progress rewarded.

Maybe I'm the only guy that feels this way but i thought it would be a good topic for discussion. Do you care that you pay more and expect this or do you wish they didn't have it to begin with?

You are definitely not alone. There must be some reason that attributes to some titles getting platinum and others no because in the PSN, there were always some games with and some without.

I find it hard be believe it was left up to the developer to not include a platinum trophy as there is no real benefit to cutting it out. Only loss.

I'll admit that when buying a game, I'm slightly less likely to purchase if a platinum isn't included. I like to have clear set goals that I can visualize and compare.

I'm guilty of that aswel. But luckily more games are including them, which is a gain of interest to alot of people. A game like rocketbirds on psn. €7 game. Only 482mb to download  included a platinum. I would have been happy if they had a system in place if it was psn title it doesn't get a platinum.  A disc release game should include one. It's  all over the place to be honest at the moment. But I'm interested in seeing what happens to it in the future.

I thought until I read this this thread that you get a Platinum trophy everytime you unlocked all the trophies but the Platinum for each and every game.  Don't you think it'd be nicer if that was?
