@Th3solution 100% agree on Apple TV+. I have an intense dislike for Apple as a company, but I must say that if I ever need to trim down the streaming services I pay for, Apple TV+ would probably be the last to go. Their sci-fi game is especially strong, I think.
No need to check out "Sunny" before MQ; I think the other way may be better, actually. I would say MQ is a bit more "accessible", as the characters in "Sunny" are particularly despicable (but funnily so, because they are so incredibly stupid. So, you may have a situation where a dislike for "Sunny" might put you off MQ, but if you don't like MQ you can be almost certain that "Sunny" won't do it for you. Oversimplifying a bit, of course. I'd recommend giving them both a try, but I'd prioritise MQ.
You're Stateside, aren't you? That would put "Sunny" on Hulu or FX rather than Disney+ or are they folding everything into D+ over there these days as well? How about High Potential, an ABC show, I think. I've been enjoying that on D+, very light entertainment that works very well IMO; a procedural that stars Kaitlin Olson (keeping things related, she is also in "Sunny" and is married to Rob McElhenny in real life).
Outside of the latest MCU show, Wonder Man, which seems to be enjoyed by more people than just me (to my surprise ), I'm not all that up to speed on what's new on D+. Most of what I'm aware of seem to be on D+ here, but will typically fall on FX or Hulu (or both) over in your corner of the world.
Oh, and a quick warning about "Sunny", should you decide to try it: I struggled a lot with the first season, but then it sort of clicked with me after a while. It is s show quite unlike anything else out there, to put it that way, so give it some time to breathe, as they say
@FuriousMachine Honestly, I don’t firmly understand how Disney decided what is on D+ over here in the States verse what is put on Hulu. They are distinctly separate subscriptions, but have a bundle together which they try to push people toward. (I finally fell for it and got the bundle which has D+, Hulu, and ESPN+.). In general the SW, MCU, and legacy Disney/Pixar stuff is all D+ and anything that’s live action and not one of those core properties is on Hulu. Although then there’s exceptions like Cloak & Dagger which I think is Marvel based but is locked on Hulu.
Anyway, all the seasons of Always Sunny are on Hulu, not D+. High Potential (which I was unaware of so thanks for bringing it to my attention. It looks charming) interestingly has season 1 on both services but season 2 is only on Hulu. It’s reasons like that which drove me just to bite the bullet and get Hulu.

@Th3solution "Charming" is exactly the word for High Potential. A bunch of immensely likeable characters solving crimes and a very good antidote to the real world badness going on these days.
Season 2 is currently airing, so maybe that's why it hasn't arrived on both services yet? I don't know, it's impossible to know what fits where in the Disney empire (here it was separated into Disney+, which contained all family friendly fare that comfortably sat in the PG-13 area, and Stars, which contained anything that didn't - both available through the same sub, more of a content guideline, I guess... now, though, I think they just let it all be Disney+, whether it's R-rated Fox properties or what have you).
Unfortunately it wasn't as good as S01 and felt a bit all over the place. A lot of storylines that we didn't got resolutions for but that's okay since S03 already greenlighted. Still, I don't like transitional seasons and want them to stand on their own feet. Boys, Invincible, House of the Dragon; all of those S02s could have been an e-mail mostly. The situation here is a bit better at least. I had fun in most of the episodes. Ghoul is the best and most interesting one still. I really don't understand Thaddeus, his writing is missing something concrete I feel. Lucy was cute but I want to see her corrupted a bit more for S03. A lot of questions remains and hopefully S03 is more of a "pay-off" than this season. Another funny thing is I felt like they built 3 sets and kept the story according to that, it was funny. Still the best game adaptation I've seen.
@FuriousMachine Hulu sounds kind of like the U.S. version of what they were going for with Stars, except that it can be subscribed to on it own without the Disney+ PG and PG-13 content (aka Star Wars, MCU, and Animated fare). It also has a section of National Geographic content on D+, which aligns with the ‘family friendly’ categorization. Nevertheless, our D+ has exceptions to the rule, with rated R content included like the Deadpool movies, Logan, and the Netflix Marvel shows like Jessica Jones, Punisher, etc. I think there’s a setting that you can go in and do a block of mature content though, so that parents can subscribe to D+ and still feel comfortable to plop their 7 year old in front of the TV without fear of them wandering into a sex scene or watching someone get decapitated.
Thanks for the clarification on High Potential. The likable characters is the vibe that stands out, which sounds interesting in the context of crime drama. I like some good gritty and dark crime shows as much as the next guy, but it is nice to have some balance, as you say, because our real world seems dark enough these days. Sometimes I want a little escape.

@Th3solution Yeah, I think the blurred lines with the Fox and Netflix Marvel properties were one of the reasons they kind of threw their hands in the air here and said "screw it, let parental controls deal with it" and just got rid of the "Stars" thing altogether.
For "gits & shiggles" I logged on just now, to make sure I hadn't hallucinated the removal of the "Stars" brand and noticed that they still have two sections, only now it is "Disney+" and "Hulu", but both are still the same sub (not sure if one can opt out of one or the other here - doesn't look like it).
So, still a mess, but at least one I won't have to untangle as everything is in the same sub anyway - at least for now.
SPOILER ALERT FOR ANYBODY WHO NEVER SAW "STATION ELEVEN" AND PLANS ON WATCHING
been in one of those onion cutting moods and always look up old scenes ive seen to get the water running
@FuriousMachine A reason to watch Prime? I didn't expect that, Fallout too obviously of course (eventually I'll watch season 2) I only found out about Spiderman Noir less than twelve hours ago after trying the game and seeing that DLC suit. It's staying on for the full playthrough, every Spiderman needs a revolver and Rocketeer looking suit.
But I can say about reading that comic (all night) it's very gritty and quite gorey. That the Amazon series probably won't go that far, though maybe? I did find out there was The Punisher Noir too so I stayed up even later and read that too. I don't know if you tried the game? Superheroes aren't my thing except Batman but I just see him as a man with fists and resources, anyone can be Batman if they really want to. I didn't think I'd like the game all that much, even the story is well written. I couldn't see my original question and then realized this is the TV thread. I'd just be happy to watch something in black and white, I sometimes prefer it to colour. I can't watch James Cagney in colour at all, his hair throws me off after watching him in black and white for so long. He's a different person in White Heat and Public Enemy (to my eyes) and after seeing the black and white scenes of Oppenheimer I pulled all of the colours from that screen and watched it again but in full black and white. It was so good. I prefer black and white photography too, so that's probably why.
I'll have to keep an eye out for the series going live, I'm definitely interested. It seems to be the same Cinematographer as The Penguin and Westworld, he was also the DoP on American Gods. I can see why he was given that Noir gig.
I had no idea they were doing this! I don't even care that it's 'spider-man' really. It is Nic Cage, Dutch Angles, High Contrast and, I assume, countless addictions and flaws (and that part is before they even start filming 😁)
And the tagline... it is so damn simple, and yet - perfection.
Amazon is going up in my estimations! Fallout is a fairly well done adaption, especially in style and casting, I didn't mind Rings of Power (especially s2) and they even delivered a non-dented Jackie Brown steelbook that i've been trying to source for ages 😁
