Feel free to discuss all aspects of psychology here. As a jumping-off point, do you think arguments are a necessary part of human relationships?

Necessary in what sense? Do you mean to ask if I think all human relationships feature arguments at some point? Because I can think of a number of very casual, acquaintance-like relations I've had with other people that didn't involve any sort of arguing.

No.

People are individuals. Their relationships and the way they deal together derived from the their individuality and are therefore equally diverse.

Some people enjoy arguing but other people don’t and try and avoid arguments. If two people who try and avoid arguments meat an argument is highly unlikely and those people can still have a perfectly healthy relationship.

@Ryall Yeah, that's the situation I'd like to get myself into ideally - two people who don't enjoy arguing, where good things will happen between the two of you. I seem to have bad luck insofar as I have mostly known women who seem to like arguing - I, myself, don't.
