@Jimmer-jammer Excellent! Welcome back and looking forward to hearing about your experience in Bloober's particular version of that "special place. 😃
Edit: I also thought you'd be pleased to know I got the Greatsword from Caelid in Elden Ring and am at 52 Str, leveled the Greatsword up to +3 and plan to upgrade it up to at least +9 or +12 before tackling the Lion boss in Liurnia in order to obtain the Lion's Claw AoW and then take on Margit with my Jellyfish ashes!
(I've been stealth-farming that troll that sits under the peak of a semi-ruined structure in Limgrave, in the field of five trolls and the destructible statue between the Gatefront Ruins and Warmaster's Shack, by sneaking up on him, weakening him by swiping at his ankles several times then going in for a critical hit to his face when he has fallen over).
Well the Liam Payne news certainly wasn’t what I expected to wake up to. He had his problems over the years but it’s just horrible, he’s probably the first major celebrity for my generation to pass away.

RIP Liam. It's a very sad thing to have happenned.
@Jimmer-jammer@Enriesto Have you heard of Kobo Abe? I hear he's apparently Japan's answer to Franz Kafka, he's won various literary prizes and apparently his fiction is the Dark Souls of Literature, ruining all other pieces for everyone once you've done a deep dive into his work. 😃
Edit: I haven't read him yet but I plan to, after I've read Melville, Chekhov, and the Indian Abstract Artist, M.F. Husain's biography that I'm interested in - I certainly don't want Melville and Chekhov to be "ruined" for me before I've had a chance to read them!
Do most people use gyro aiming? I saw that AW2 is implementing it and I just wonder if this is actually something they people want.
Personally, I’ve never played a game in which I’ve used gyro aiming to any significant degree. So I assumed very few people (like maybe… 10%? Just a guess) ever use it. I might be completely off base here

@Th3solution
No. Not sure I ever have but then I don't play too many FPS, especially online competitive games where I assume the precision aiming is most needed
“We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be.”
@Th3solution The only time I've used it is when I played Zelda BOTW. I turned it off eventually as I couldn't get used to it. I know a few peeps on these pages that use it, swear by it
@JohnnyShoulder@Bob_Salat@HallowMoonshadow Looks like so far it’s 100% in favor of just using the analog sticks. Maybe it’s something that the younger gamers use more because they haven’t programmed their brains to play a certain way over bazillions of hours like we have. I even have gyro aiming on my remote control for my TV and I don’t like using that either. 😂

@Th3solution it was fantastic in Dragon's Dogma 2, I think that's my best experience of it. I was gonna use it in Horizon FW, but I didn't stick with the game long enough to know if it's good in that (I felt like I had to really try to tune it early on to feel right though, and not sure if it ever did feel right)
Apparently it's in TLoU and its turned on in my game, but I've only shot people manually with analogue so far, not even considered testing it, and didn't notice the reticle moving so far so not sure if it is actually doing anything. I'll test it at some point.
@Jimmer-jammer How are you? Did you "wrap" up shooting yet? How did that go? What music have you been listening to recently? Any updates on your SH2 Playthrough?
@Jimmer-jammer I'm good thanks. Glad to hear your SH2 Remake playthrough is going swimmingly. Sounds like it'll be a real treat by the time I dig into it. Elden Ring is a lot of fun, I'm still primarily farming at this stage, but I did make an earlier, very under-levelled, attempt at Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel, the enemies there were manageable with Vigor in the low teens and Str at 55 ,but the boss absolutely whooped me in a few seconds. Planning to go back there with Vigor at 60, it's at 23 now, and whoop the boss in return.

@Jimmer-jammer No, I haven't actually made it through Stormveil yet, still farming in the early-game, but I wanted to get an item from the Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel boss that would help me upgrade the Greatsword I got from Caelid earlier - the enemies in Caelid are no joke earlier, but I still managed to snag the Greatsword from there when I was even more underlevelled before hightailing it out of there!
Did you play Alan Wake 2? That recently got a new DLC that might be a nice compliment to your SH2 playthrough if you haven't played it yet. Both are on my to-play list.
Edit: My apologies, I just remembered that you did play Alan Wake 2 and weren't entirely satisfied with it, so maybe the DLC wouldn't be such a good idea! But there is some 'Cronos'-type game currently in development by Bloober, so maybe that would be more your cup of tea when it comes out. 😃
@Jimmer-jammer Hi man, duly noted with regard to Alan Wake II, I plan to get the Deluxe Edition which includes the Expansion Pass, so maybe I will get a chance to play the DLCs sonner rather than later. Hope you enjoy The Lake House DLC.
I am looking forward to Stormveil now that you have 'bigged it up' for me .Also do you think you will plat SH2 Remake? Apparently it's fairly easy to do, following the correct steps for various endings etc. And getting that all-important timer-based trophy.
I plan to get plats for both ER and SH2R.🤞
"Even in the face of death, the samurai stands unwavering, for honour is a blade sharper than steel".
@Jimmer-jammer I will indeed let you know . So what was your role in the movie you shot? acting? directing? production? Do you think you and your crew will take it to Cannes or anything like that? Hope it all works out for you!
@Th3solution As someone who juggles more than one game at one time, I am coming to you for a bit of advice as to what sort of game to play alongside Elden Ring as I want to vary my gaming somewhat, do you think SH2 Remake would be a good fit? i.e different enough as a Survival Horror rather than ER's RPG territory to make each game seem fresh when I alternated, I was also thinking about Dragon Age: The Veilguard, but that probably shares too much RPG DNA with ER.
How do you normally mix and match games to keep things interesting? How many is too many to play simultaneously?
I recently completed another ep, this is my fourth so far. And now, I think the next one will be more light-hearted and whimsical, with some sort of Elden Ring-related theme, as the previous four were quite dark and I want to depart from that sort of theme now.
Definitely see Art Ensemble of Chicago as a possible influence.
And I want to feature acoustic in addition to electric guitar on the record.
