@HallowMoonshadow S'cute!

Gives you an excuse to go clothes shopping! Doggy clothes shopping, but clothes shopping none the less! 😂

@Herculean Without doing some sort of scientific study, my personal view is that Push can give whatever score they want. The obsession with Metacritic and even tying it to devs’ bonuses is ludicrous. I wouldn’t say they score lower than others but their 9s mean a lot more than some other sites.

@Herculean I just get that impression. I certainly have not looked into it in any great depth, but I'm positive that PushSquare utilize the scale more than other sites.

@HallowMoonshadow Hello artist formerly known as Foxy! I must admit I was always a little confused what the Scotchy bit of your old username meant and eventually figured it was scotch tape or something from your foxy assassin handkit. 😂 And what an adorable dog. Border Collies can be quite a handful!

Sure... Scotch tape. Totally not Scotch whisky

I honestly just assumed you were Scottish to be honest 😅.

Thought I'd reply partially over here as I have been truly terrible at posting/following threads lately. Mainly due to work in my case. Just can't seem to find a minute these days. I feel like I've lost touch with many of the regulars sometimes 😕

Glad to see you back 😃 and with a doggo no less. I hope you've been well!!

did Col_McCafferty get banned? his avatar does not show anymore and it's been a good 2 weeks since his last post.

@Herculean It is almost like the Push Square reviewers are all part of the same hive mind and can't think for themselves.

@jdv95 Yep he sure did.

@jdv95 That’s awesome to hear. I think that will be great timing for a game like that. With Forspoken delayed, I’m not aware of anything coming out around that timeframe. The summer is a great release window to get more of the spotlight.

Th3solution

@lolwhatno Ha, ha! No, I’m actually bummed about Col. I had some enjoyable conversations with him. Rather I was referring to the APT Requiem news from jdv. I wasn’t aware the game was this close to release. I guess I’m so accustomed to games being delayed repeatedly that I wasn’t expecting it to come out this year. Not that I’ll pick it up day 1 necessarily (I’ll have to see how it reviews and what my status is in May) but I would like to see the game succeed.

The weather is nice this week, so I took the bicycle to work today. Gonna take a few of these trips to get back into shape (whatever the shape might be), I guess 😵

Voltan

@kyleforrester87 I'm really not sure what you mean but I ride my bike through a forest and the parts of my route that go along streets have dedicated bicycle lanes... so probably not?

edit: or did you mean you also cycle and have to pass people like me? that's probably a yes in that case, lol

@Voltan Haha, first bit of sunshine yesterday and there were like 20 cyclists at every junction. Can't blame them though.

@Herculean If only I got paid to cycle to work and back! But I do make a point of following the rules of the road. Actually my problem yesterday was I kept stopping at red lights and everyone else sailed through, then just sat in front of me at 7mph.

@Herculean Mine's is actually kinda nice as long is it hasn't rained recently, with more than half of it going through a nature reserve. Unfortunately it gets very muddy when it does rain, so I avoid it then.

Sadly, I will no longer be going that route once I move to my new apartment.

Th3solution

@kyleforrester87 @Voltan So I’ve always been too self-conscious to cycle to work given I’ll arrive smelling like a combination of a sweaty sock and a dirt storm. Not to mention my hair will be a hornets’ nest. My co-workers would probably strike.

@Th3solution To be honest with a decent anti-perspirant it's not too much of a problem lol. But you can always use baby wipes if you need to freshen up. The hair thing is potentially a problem, but I shave my head so I get around that one. I bring an "easy iron" shirt in my bag each day and splash water on it and put under the hand dryer to get the creases out and leave my trousers at the office and rotate them at the dry cleaners. It was all a bit of a headache to find a routine that worked initially but it's fine these days. I think!

Not paying for the tube is a nice bonus, although I think sometimes that is offset with the extra snacks I buy through the day!

Th3solution

@kyleforrester87 Wow, that’s quite a system you have set up. I used to cycle to a job a few years ago and I did really like not having to rely on a car and parking, etc. But honestly I think I’m lucky I wasn’t jumped or mugged because there was a few seedy neighborhoods I had to go through. If I had to work late then it was really scary making it through a few areas in the dark. Sure got my heart rate up!

Voltan

@Th3solution @kyleforrester87 I'm a person who somehow sweats very little in general. Also, there's no dress code for me at work so I just bring a spare t-shirt and I'm fine.
I absolutely get where you're coming from though.

kyleforrester87

@Herculean Yes me too! Sorry if I came across as elitist (I am not that sorry, it was partly the intention haha!). But let's not be overly sensitive, huh.

I used to cut lights and stuff but that leads to other risky behaviour and eventually getting knocked off in my experience. I follow the rules as much as I can these days as it creates breaks in your journey. Sometimes it is annoying getting your flow interrupted but it's often trying to keep that flow that leads to accidents.
