@Octane In most states, the mail votes are roughly 65-70% of the overall vote and have Biden ahead by at least a few percentage points due to Democrats being more likely to vote early. It was always going to look bad on the night because Republicans vote in person. We’ll just have to wait and see.

My pointing finger tip felt a little bit hurt after sliding on the Switch screen to play Sushi Striker Switch with touch screen feature. 😖
I think Sushi Striker played better on 3DS instead since using touch pen.

@nessisonett @Octane Yup. This is the much discussed "red mirage" scenario. Additionally, Trump has been pushing people to vote on election day, discrediting mail-in ballots, trying to sabotage the collection of mail-in ballots, and pushed to load the supreme court with his people because Republicans have been transparently preparing for this coup for months now. The GOP in multiple states have been issuing legal challenges trying to contest the legality of mail-in votes.

This is an attempted coup. Trump is a wannabe dictator. The GOP has been actively enabling him. That party needs to be burned to the ground.

I will say, even if everything goes right, and the supreme court doesn't enable this, and Biden somehow squeaks out a win with the votes in the remaining states, roughly half the country will have voted for a man who has enabled and even encouraged mass death and is trying to institute a dictatorship.

Regardless of what happens, I'm disappointed in and disgusted by what this country has become.

@Anti-Matter Hopefully it'll go like it did in Indonesia. The concern is that our president's cronies are going to help his steal an election.

I've been hearing about the whole voting debacle

Apparently the unease about deciding a winner here is worse than it was with Hillary and Trump 4 years ago, but from what I also heard apparently Trump has been dominating states like Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas and Montana which was honestly kind of expected. It's pretty neck and neck in terms of electoral votes so we'll see what happens

I'm still kinda baffled how broken the two party system is in the US. I'm glad I can choose between more than a dozen different parties when the elections happen next year. It also creates a lot less tension between people, there's less of a 'left vs right', and 'liberal vs conservative' mentality. And it certainly doesn't result in a civil war, with half the cities burning down while crazies are looting the stores.

So, if the Supreme Court halted counting now, Biden would carry the election with 270 electoral votes... the exact minimum someone needs to win the presidency. With that said, it's pathetic how close this is, and I won't breathe a sigh of relief until this potential dictator is out of the oval office. What an embarrassment.

With that said, the USPS, under the eye of Trump crony and postmaster general Louis DeJoy, apparently didn't deliver hundreds of thousands of ballots in key battleground states, and is refusing to comply with a court order to sweep its facilities to find them. Many of them in Florida, which means we don't even know for sure that Trump necessarily "won" Florida without cheating. It's no wonder the Dem turnout in Miami-Dade county was so low this year.

@Octane Washington warned against exactly this sort of two-party system. You get this sort of "bloods vs crips" nonsense that arises whenever two factions go head-to-head. It also lumps in people with radically different ideologies (like centrist dems with progressive left dems).

@Ralizah I just find it hysterical that Trump said that Biden was a socialist/communist and people believed him. If the Democrats stood over here then they’d be Tories.

@Anti-Matter you can use a capacitative touch screen pen on the Switch (like one you'd use on a mobile phone). There have been a couple official ones: a limited edition one that came with Mario maker 2 from certain retailers and a widely available one that came with brain training and is also sold separately. A cheap unofficial one from whatever your equivalent of Poundland is will work fine too

Actually i can consider other Switch games with touch pen inside the box such as Brain Training or Super Mario Maker 2 but i still haven't bought those games yet. 😅

@Anti-Matter the official switch stylus for brain training is actually really nice and works much better than a standard capacitative touch pen. It is available separately for like £7 in the UK Nintendo store

@johnnyshoulder fair enough! (I thought I'd reply here as the other thread got deleted). I won't debate the wording as it clearly says giveaways are not allowed. I just always thought of a giveaway as something with rules, perhaps with strings attached e.g. "like this Facebook page" or something like that. I didn't think sharing a spare or reusable code for DLC as anything more than just a tip. I posted a DLC code over on NL once because I had 2 of the same.

Maybe the free game threads on NL had special permission or something as they actually say "giveaway" in the thread title which is clearly against the rules (same rules as over here) or maybe they just went under the radar as a bunch of users actually got some freebies out of it.

But yeah I won't debate any further, the rules clearly state no giveaways, I'm just musing on what the difference is between the NL threads and this one.

I was up so late last night that when I saw it gone this morning I thought maybe it was some sleep deprived delirium I made up 😅

@Foxy-Goddess-Scotchy haha yeah I'm not sure if there was any other posts after I posted or if I even read/understood the thread correctly because likewise I was (and currently usually am) up late in sleep deprived deliriums as well! I just thought it could've been worded a bit better in a casual way which may have let it exist on the forum without breaking any rules. It seemed like it used overly official language like prize draw and giveaway for what it was, which was just sharing a spare PSN code.

I don't mean to defend it as I don't know if it was legitimate or whatever but I normally keep an eye open for freebies so I'm not personally against its presence. (Getting those promotional US only codes for Crash Team racing skins was a nightmare but I trawled the internet for them because I just had to unlock everything in the game 😅)

I can see that others wouldn't want the forum clogged up with weekly codes that only one person can claim (who may not even be polite enough to say they claimed it).

@ralphdibny Yeah, we’ve had a bit of a problem with lurkers in our fantasy football thread too, it surely doesn’t take that much effort just to post a wee message introducing yourself but hey ho. I assume it was a lurker who got that code last night.

If it was legit it was admitedly pretty nice of them @ralphdibny as I already said last night.

It's probably against the rules because the winner can't be guaranteed due to the public nature of Push Square and the forums... A lurker or any passer by can just snap it up instead of the intended winner and PS can't vouch for the legitimacy of the giveaway either and a bunch of other legal mumbo jumbo.

@nessisonett oh really, what mischief are the fantasy football lurkers getting up to? I only ask because I literally have no clue about football, fantasy or otherwise so I wonder what they could do to derail it

Either a lurker claimed the code or it wasn't legitimate in the first place, I can't see a reason for it being legitimate or illegitimate though. It wasn't advertising anything or asking for money or likes but if it was legitimate then due to the lack of the above reasons then it would be out of kindness and maybe I'm too much of a cynic to believe that lol. Despite that, I would've tried the code anyway though if IdleCritic hadn't tried it first.

@Foxy-Goddess-Scotchy yeah that and it could have been an advert for something (which the NL one I mentioned definitely was but this one didn't seem to be, also the NL one asked for reviews of the free games they gave away). I'm not sure though because I feel there is a distinct difference between just posting a code and it being first come first serve which is just a bit of a favour or the quite rightly problematic way of actually saying this person won it and I guarantee that person gets this prize even though other users will perpetually claim the prize before they can. If that makes sense, I don't think I've worded it correctly but hopefully it does. It's a bit like the difference between Sales and Freeby tips on a deals website forum and another website that offers competitions. Clearly the post was worded like the latter though which is why it got the chop!

@ralphdibny It’s more that they’re joining the league without the slightest introduction so we have us lot playing along each week and discussing it and then some randoms beating us all!

@nessisonett oh I see haha that's lame, yeah I suppose you have to post the code to the league so people can join. Not sure how many of the fantasy leaguers are friends on PSN but if they are then maybe the fantasy league code could be posted in a private party on PlayStation

Am I wrong or the Playstation Store (both on App and Web, both freshly restyled) doesn't show us anymore the download size in games details? 😨
