@Th3solution I only played two matches (loss two of them, though) but I thought it was quite good and fun and also seemed very accessible for casual players.
@WanderingBullet That sounds good for me. I’m a filthy casual when it comes to fighters and first person shooters. I can only play those two genres in small doses and only if they are accessible and even then would very rarely venture into online pvp because I’m so bad. Or, alternatively, maybe I’m not so bad, but the voraciously enthusiastic community for FPS and fighters tend to play hours on end and get so good at them that I just can’t compete. I much prefer solo gaming and playing a variety of games with my time rather than learning every nuance of a single character in a fighting game and how to counter every other character while practicing with said character for dozens, if not hundreds of hours on end. I just want a fighter or FPS to be a nice diversion. I also like a decent story in my games, if possible, and with fighters I know that is like asking for a taco at an Italian restaurant since they really aren’t known for their story. Soul Calibur is not any more obtuse than most fighter stories I suppose, but it doesn’t look particularly interesting from what I’ve seen. The create your own character has me intrigued though and how they make a story out of that. Injustice has a more relatable and solid storyline and so that attracts me to try it. I quite liked the first one, for the few hours I played it years back. I really probably only have the patience for one of two, either SC6 or Injustice 2, so we’ll see how reviews and player impressions go.
@Octane i actually brought a second Gamecube just to get The Legend of Zelda Collectors Edition because it was the only way to get it in the UK, i even used an old Gamecube case and printed off a copy of the Box Art so i could put it on my shelf with the other Zelda games, counting the original N64 release i have Ocarina of Time 5 times (6 if you count the Master Quest version as a separate game)
yes i love the Zelda series that much

@Kidfried That is one of the things about a lot of Nintendo games is that because they are bright and colorful and don't chase realism, they age quite well graphically and with gameplay often being really well tuned, they remain playable.
That's it - I'm going on a hunt for Windwaker, alongside Metroid Prime 2.
@FullbringIchigo One of my biggest gaming regrets is that I had the Collecters edition and sold it just before I had my first child because for some reason, I thought it was a good idea. SO SO SO regret that. At the time, I had played bits of all of them and just didn't bother to go back.
Now I may be an idiot, but there's one thing I am not sir, and that sir, is an idiot
@Rudy_Manchego if you have a Wii U i would sugest getting that version as it's the better version, it looks better and they fixed that terrible Triforce section

@Rudy_Manchego yeah that is one issue i have with Nintendo, their prices don't really drop much even in the second hand market

@FullbringIchigo I know - especially for the consoles that were less popular, like the GC. I really want to try Twin Snakes (controversial I know) but that is really rather too expensive for me right now.

@Rudy_Manchego I've heard good things about RE4, and the remake on GameCube. I can't do horror games unfortunately.
Anyway, Wind Waker is one of my favourite games, and it holds up really well. The GameCube version still remains the definitive version for me. I don't like how they ditched the cel shading in the Wii U version. Don't listen to @FullbringIchigo
@Octane i still think it looks amazing on Wii U though

@Octane In my mind, RE4 on GC is superior to the PS2 version. The Remake is also great but to be honest, I played RE4 first and going back is really hard to the original. I did have RE Zero, 2, 3 and 4 on GC but sold them all. I was such a fool.
The Wii version of RE4 is good but with the motion controls, far easier.

@Rudy_Manchego I didn't even know all of them were on the Cube! I've only heard of 1 and 4; I don't think they're expensive, so you can always buy a second hand copy. I'm kinda glad I never sold any of my games, and I'm also glad I already own the expensive ones; when they're €50 and up for a second copy, it definitely makes you think twice.
@Octane I think Zero was a GC launch exclusive? Could be wrong. Yeah 2 and 3 were, to be honest, almost straight ports from the PS1 era. I only really got them as collectors things at the time. I am not sure I ever even played them

@Rudy_Manchego Yeah Zero was a GC launch exclusive, it was then ported to other systems as a HD remaster

@Rudy_Manchego At that price is a good investment. Not only you can play two great games paying £ 13 each, but once you have finished them you can put the case under vacuum and gain more £ in few years...
@Octane I made some good money selling my GBA games, basically I bought my PS4 and the first 3/4 games with the money I did selling a dozen of old games. Even now I'm selling PS1 games for € 15/20. Maybe I could ask for more, but why should I be one of the many trying to sell Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver for months asking € 30 when I can immediately sell it for € 20? Maybe that guy is following the same logic.
