Well compared to NL Push Square and Pure Xbox are alot newer and not as well known as NL. NL has been around for about 5 years. I am sure as time goes on this site will be as big as NL.

NLife is a much older site and frankly there aren't as many great Nintendo-specific websites as there for PlayStation and Xbox so I don't think either this or PureXbox will ever get as big as NL. That sucks but on the plus side, it means the conversations can remain high quality and the communities relatively friendly. While I love the coverage at NL I rarely comment there because it is a haven for pathetic, moronic fanboys.

You can say that everywhere. For example there's at least five or six people on here who you could label pathetic, moronic Sony fanboys. Why bother? I still don't understand it. They're computer games. Just enjoy them all.

So, this is my first time on pushsquare, but i've been on Nintendo Life for a while now...
How come pushsquare hasn't gotten to NL's point? Is this a newer site or do people just use another sony site?
It's very much still a work in progress. We've grown immensely since last year, and have no plans of slowing down. Don't worry, catching up to Nintendo Life is still very much the target.

The one problem I see with Sony and Microsoft sites is that the machines and games are pretty much the same. With the exception of teenage boys who think its cool to say "Microsoft is better" or "Sony are better" most people will agree Sony is arguably marginally ahead as it has better exclusives but fundementlly they're the same. It's hard to have that passionate and loyal a fanbase as Nintendo - and Sega, lest we forget - as they're unique and have such a longer and more illustrious history. Their fan sites will always have more and appear "bigger". But as all chaps know, bigger doesn't necessarily mean better.

True, but one advantage we have is that PlayStation is just reaching a point now where it's "nostalgic" for people - much like Nintendo already is. We're going to try and tap into the heritage a bit more over the coming months.

Sony is more about maturity(not gore and violence), uniquness and art in games. While MS is more about games that are good to play while eating doritos and drinking mountin dew. FPS, TPS mostly. I think that MS and Nintendo are more similar, than Sony and MS. Sony is more international, while Nintendo and MS are more domestic(Nintendo - Japan. MS - US). MS even bought Rare and in 343 work guys from Retro, too. MS focused on FPS, TPS, Nintendo on platformers and adventures. MS bought GTA, Nintendo bought Monster Hunter. Both games were Sony's system sellers on previous generations of consoles. Now Xbox one looks like MS trying to copy Nintendo's ways of doing business.
I really enjoy everyone on this site, except for the moronic part. On NL, my thread's would already be filled with troll posts and weird pictures. Everyone here seems to be a bit smarter, and always have something interesting to say. I hope pushsquare and pure XBOX one day reach NL's level. I also hope to see some of the people who've commented on this thread on NL. We need smarter people over there...

I didn't mean the companies themselves I meant the experiences. You say that Microsoft has games to play while eating Doritos, but they're all on the PS3 too, which was my point. Not a dig at either company before I get people winging. Oh, I wouldn't say Sony is about uniqueness and art though, that's Nintendo. The maturity part is bang on though, just a shame they can't actually mix it in with a game. Last Of Us is boring (as a game, the rest is wonderful) and Heavy Rain is just an interactive movie. Hopefully Beyond will be the game to really get it all right.

So, you are telling that Gravity Rush, Siren, Tearaway, Puppeteer, Rain, Ico, Shadow of the Colossus are less art and uniquness than what? Also, The Last of Us has pretty solid gameplay. Yeah, I think it's boring, too. But when you play for the first time, it just delivers and has nice variety in ways you can go through levels and in tools to fight with enemies. So in whole, game rocks very much. After The Last of Us most TPS look generic and boring.

There's definitely not that many here that I'd label fanboys, maybe 1 or 2 but even then they aren't nearly as bad as the ones I've come across at Nintendo Life. And the problem isn't that it's just a few, it's 95% of that community, so you say something that's 'out of line' and you've got at least 50 idiots attacking you. And even the staunch Sony fanboys are willing to acknowledge while Nintendo may not be for them, they still make great games. At NLife, the stuff I see posted about PS and Xbox gamers, the style of games they like and the ability of developers like Naughty Dog is just downright insulting. It's one thing to have a preference, the idiots at that website take things way too far though. I'm a frequent visitor to a North American PS based website that has a bunch of moronic fanboys who still couldn't combine to reach the level of a-hole that some at NLife achieve on their own.
@Gamer83 - That reminds me of when people jumped all over me on NL for saying I was getting Ducktales Remastered on PS3. How dare I not get it for Wii U and support Nintendo...
And since I have a Last of Us avatar that makes me a Sony fanboy even though I have owned pretty much every Nintendo console they have put out.
I checked on NL a few weeks back when I bought a 3DS. I wasn't enticed into joining the website. While the website itself is good, really good, the community itself didn't seem too welcoming. Kinda gave off a 'Cult of Nintendo' kinda vibe lol There was a few notable members in posts that seem to be head n shoulders above most in maturity though so I may join it eventually, but not at the moment. Did notice a few people from here too

Your Push Square account will work on Nintendo Life, so no need to re-register.
I used to frequent NL few years back but then I stopped using my Wii after playing some random MMO, then I got a PS3 and now only use my Wii to play Smash Bros Brawl. Its bad to hear that they are filled with fanboys and will attack you if you don't support nintendo just like they did with @Splat.
It's strange how angry Nintendo fanboys are =). It's not just Nintendo Life, most Nintendo fanboys are angry and agressive. Maybe because there are not so many games about violence and gore on Nintendo platforms. Or maybe because they are not satisfied with Nintendo games, but can't admit that. Haha... Cheers to every fanboy on the planet =).
