@FullbringIchigo Yeah I know the tips. I press the wrong button even when I'm saying the sequence out loud. Or I press it too early or late. I'm not even improving as I try more. That's why I'm asking about Share Play. I must've tried about 20 times at least now and my peak is to get slightly over half what Jules does. Hard Mode is way easier than this.

@Matroska At least it’s not FFIX’s jump rope. I just do not see how anybody could have enough patience to get that trophy. Honestly FFX’s thunder plains lightning was seriously annoying too. The series is no stranger to frustrating minigames!
@nessisonett They definitely seemed annoying at the time. Now I'm ending round 1 of pull-ups with my 6 to Jules' 20, I'd absolutely love to be nearly struck by lightning 100(?) times. Nothing like some slightly homoerotic pull-ups to put things in perspective. 😅
Anyway, this is becoming a depressingly common sight.
@Matroska I can try at some point for you (I’ve never tried game sharing before) but don’t know when I’ll be able to try.
I’m just onto the final chapter now. The previous chapter was well done with new bits and old bits. I managed to spend enough time in the VR simulator to get revive levelled up but the last Chadley mission is destroying me! Will try that again after finishing the main story.
@Matroska I'm almost there as I think I got 42 and drew with him. I'm doing in short bursts of about 3 - 5 goes then moving onto something else with the game.
I did the final required battle intel to unlock Leviathan and defeated it, so i think I'm ready to go over the wall now.
Johnny, one thing that can be missable before you go over the wall (not tagged you specifically because of the not-really-a spoiler);
If you’ve done every side mission possible up to that point, there is a “letter from the angel” on the floor on the path up to the wall. This gives a trophy but also the second piece of elemental materia in the game
@icecube you will see him in Shinra HQ don't worry

@nessisonett The thunder jumping had a latency issue due to the emulation. It was already only a few frames to jump on PS2, that was whittled down to a couple of frames on the Vita - less on the PS4 version as you had the latency of your own setup and the additional frame using the ds4 prior to the mark 2. It was impossible unless you found the sweet spot trigger on the map you can time yourself and repeat 200 times.
I hit 80 odd at one point but a fight happened and threw my timing out. Hated that one. These are the worst Trophies in my opinion, and no doubt @Matroska will remember this for a long time to come if all the other Trophies are done.

Also wasn't there an RNG trophy for FF13-2 on a slot machine? I tried that for 4 or 5 hours and never got it. Really dampened the experience.

@themcnoisy thing is honestly i don't let trophies get in the way of my experience with games, i only have 7 Platinums and that's only because i really wanted them but that's rare, normally i couldn't care less what trophies i get
they really are unimportant to me

@FullbringIchigo As no one should. Unfortunately it does ruin my experience, as if I know there is a Trophy from a context sensitive part of the game you can't revisit - I will go for it. Most of the time it's a quick detour to snag a bronze, the worst of times it's a 3 hour journey in frustration.
There's a fine line between challenging and unfair. Anything very rare and RNG based should not be in a Trophy list. Anything requiring a ridiculous amount of skill should result in an in game reward not sidetrack people with compulsive behaviour into a 5 hour cycle trying to up their trophy yield.
A bunch of telltale games have the best trophies, regardless of your decisions the Trophies unlock thus getting sucked in to the story rather than the anxiety of missing a collectible. Final Fantasy 15 was a great platinum, I can't recall much anxiety with that one.

@themcnoisy Two words for you. Survival skill. Even after running around for hours, I still haven’t got the platinum because of that one trophy. I actually ran out of things to do in FFXV other than run the length of the map to get Gladdy’s skill up.
@Thrillho Oooh thanks for that, I did miss it. Will reload a save and grab that trophy.
@FullbringIchigo Preach, brother. I see no point in ruining enjoyment of a game by going after trophies. If someone wants to, then that is fine but that is their decision to go for it at the end of the day.
Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
@FullbringIchigo By the way there is a very easy way to do this via a windows 10 remote play script. Same for some other tedious trophies of FF9 like the battle ones etc.
@Thrillho I am fairly sure they will add this in an update.
That Leviathan summon boss fight was nuts. The scale of it and general difficulty of the battle reminded me of something like Monster Hunter. Great fight!
I've heard I can revisit individual chapters to clean up trophies, so I'm fully into Shinra headquarters now. I, uh, chose to take the stairs, which was both partially amusing and VERY boring.
