No, there is no personal messaging system the current plans are to never make one.

I wouldn't hold my breath. First of all these forums are dead enough as it is without PMs taking even more traffic away from here. Secondly, Nintendo Life has been around MUCH longer and its community is huge and people have been crying for it for ever since I can remember, and it still hasn't happened.

No whether or not that applies to here as well he does have a valid statement.  I am a member of another site that does have PMs there and I get spam at least several times a week from spam accounts, which I can do without.

Anyway alot of use make a Backloggery at backloggery.com and just use the PM features there.

This. I love both sites but the forums are way out of date.

I know that there are plans to overhaul the forums at some point. I'll bring this up in the future. Thanks for the suggestion.

@get2sammyb I like things the way they are. The whole reply and email system is great. I get to stay up to date and it doesn't feel intrusive.

Yeah, we love the reply system so that's staying. I've pushed for Facebook-style prompts, too. I believe they're on the way.
