Visuals look solid and it's running at 90fps. But unfortunately, I'm rarely ever in the mood for metroidvania-likes(Unless you're a Resident Evil, although that's still technically survival horror), especially when it's utilizing so much environmental motion control based interactivity, topped with an excess amount of puzzle solving.
SOTM has this lingering sense of dread and suspense, knowing that you're going to get curvd balled by a crazy VR jump scare at any given second by some possessed creepy chuck E cheese-like animotronic, i'll give it that much. But it's a slow burn that requires a lot of patience and takes a while to get going. I'm out!
Didn't care for Little Nightmares VR either. Back to Subside Makoa Shelf! Which has been both incredible and absolutely terrifying, when pitted face to face with a life sized Tiger Shark.
I've 100%'d the main campaign, all that's left to do is to complete the DLC. Once i drift out of the shallows i feel like I'm re-experiencing an underwater night terror. Not for the faint of heart, especially for those who suffer from thalassaphobia. It's plays out like an ocean sim, but the goal is to collect every single coin, unlock chests & other items and yadah yadah. It can feel grueling at times, but because it's presented in VR, you'll often just find yourself too mesmerized and immersed to even care.
