Literally just made an account to ask u PlayStation experts as I know nothing about the ps5! ....So my husband has just managed to order one after a long time trying, it’s his birthday coming up and wondered if there are any accessories worth getting that don’t come with the console package? Thanks in advance for any help. He plays on his own with friends online if that helps.
@Ps5wife Personally I would say no. Many TV remotes can already control the system if you have it setup right so it really doesnt offer much benefit. I would say spend the $30 on a controller charging dock instead, much more useful!
I wanted to get an official charging dock too but due to the availability difficulty, I ended up getting a highly rated third party one, though I'm quite happy with it!
A second controller. I play mostly 1 player but as soon as that battery dies I just switch!
Controller probably would not get much usage unless the ps5 is going to be the dominant device for all media. If you have a Sony TV the remote for that will control the ps5 though.
Good wireless headset or extra controller.
All else fails PSN credit voucher! Can’t go wrong.
I recently picked up the Steel Series headphones for PS5 called the Arctis 7P. I really like them and they’re infinitely more comfortable than the Pulse 3D(Sony brand ps5 headset).

I haven’t figured out which settings I like best yet, but it’s a great app.
