Hi I’m gaming on ps5 with my LG C9 OLED tv but most of my games are extremely dark. I feel like I’ve tried everything with the hdr settings in system and on my tv but so far have had no luck. Does Playstation plan to push an update that will fix this soon? If so I would be extremely happy.

Surely each TV is different so don't see how Sony could release an update to satisfy you? My cheap 4k HDR jvc TV is fine and each game I've played has its own options to adjust the display

@stephentcowan Are you using black frame insertion? LG screens are notorious for having weird initial settings that screw up your picture it almost certainly isn’t your PS5 fault.

Yeah the picture on my 4K Sony Bravia is fine, I did tweak a lot of settings previously when I had my ps4 so that has helped with things. The only game I've had to play around with the settings is with Cyberpunk as that had a really weird HDR implementation.

I have no idea what that is but if you or someone in this forum could please explain your tv settings for the c9 specific to the ps5 I would be very grateful because so far every game I play (especially resident evil village) is almost unplayable due to how extremely dark it is@Ryall

@stephentcowan You could try googling it or searching on you tube. That is what I did with mine. This is not a technical help forum, just a fan site for PlayStation, so our assistance can only go so far.

@stephentcowan One thing you could try is going to picture settings, then go to advanced settings and turning on ‘HDMI Full Range’.
