@JohnnyShoulder Nicely done! I really like this area. ‘Underground tunnels’ can be so rote and typically uninteresting for me but the detail packed into every crevice is amazing. Hoses and pistons and wires and debris populate the micro but then Housemarque manages to give spectacle to the macro as well. I could feel the seething heat and smell the exhaust…Just incredible work!

@Oram77 Good job. It's a pretty tough run back, especially as the rooms leading up to it can be full of tight spaces and awkward to navigate when there's a lot of enemies spamming you.
My progress has fallen off a cliff these last few days. The couple of runs through Acolyte's Haven I've done by the time I've got through to the boss I've had half my health left and no second chance. I seem to run into a room with a big purple shielded elite and then trying to get into the zone where you can cause damage just ends up leeching whatever integrity I've built up. I've kept myself entertained by going back to some of the previous biomes and collecting some audio logs and halcyon etc. so I'm planning on heading back for another go.
Also I heard that there's not enough halcyon in the game to completely unlock everything on the skill tree but as I can't see it all yet I've not been able to check.
Edit 1:
@Metonymy I was thinking the very same thing the other day. There's some really detailed work gone into it. Looks amazing.
Edit 2:
I should have also added above that both times I've reached that boss I've taken too many resilience artefacts and ended up with arrogance. It's surprising how much harder it makes prioritising what to hit when you can't see the health bars. Not being able to see enemy health also applies to the bosses
This game and the gameplay loop are so addicting. I was gonna go into Crimson Desert but looks like they are still patching that. I'm starting a 2nd playthrough of Saros. I want to see how the game flows start to finish when I'm not fumbling around, still trying to figure things out 3 biomes into the game.
Anyone else doing a 2nd go after rolling credits or are you tapping into your backlogs?
@Nei I'll be attending the concert in Amsterdam tonight! I'm on my there currently.
The only downside of going to the concert is that I won't be able to play Saros this evening. Just arrived in the third area, and am so curious to continue.
As a fan of Chambers' work it's great to see all the nods, but also to speculate where the story will go.
Im not reading any posts as im trying to avoid spoilers. Im having trouble with the second boss. Most Likely due to my impatience but im almost maxed out in perks and still failing. Hopefully tonight I'll have a good run
@JohnnyShoulder congrats! I found that the hardest area for the level I was at that point in the game - it was only after that that I started feeling the game was becoming easier than Returnal (to give you guys my 50c)
@Oram77@Metonymy@Nei It definitely felt very atmospheric, and the most like Returnal so far with enemies spewing rooms full of projectiles. I've decided that the shotgun is not for at the moment. I heard someone say on a podcast that it was killer, but that was after they had completed the game and were trophy hunting.
