Read around the internet that the ps5 release date could get pushed forward to the 12th in england. but nothing from sony or game about it

This comes from a German retailer apparently emailing their customers to say they are processing orders for the 12th. Again there is no real evidence of this, and people have naturally grabbed hold of this with England going into lockdown.
In my eyes, if Sony was going to do anything in England, (which I dont) they would postpone release until after the 2nd of December when England comes out of lockdown.

Yes, but what I'm saying is social media jumped all over it thinking it meant the date of release was being brought forward for Europe

I'm just opining that it doesn't make sense for Sony, or anyone, to delay in any capacity. The end date of a lockdown is never absolute.

Received this frome Game by email now, 19th is still the date.

@severeatrophy I received the exact same email. I asked if we will still get emails reminders to make sure we have the funds in our accounts ready for payment. My question wasn't answered lol.

@TheIdleCritic probably don't know themselves. The phrase "Flying by the seat of their pants" comes to mind.

Ive had this went in yesterday to pay the amount fully off plus the xbox series x for my son and i can collect xbox on the 10th between 8am-2pm and ps5 19th 8am-2pm. as there allowed to give the what u have paid for. you cant go in and buy anything else just collect what u have already paid for thats it

@Cba2KillU yes, classed as click and collect which is allowed in the lockdown. Its how HMV and other non essential high street chain stores are staying open.

@TheIdleCritic @severeatrophy GAME will only charge you once the item has been despatched. Read the terms and conditions, it should say there.

The internet is full of rumours and it's hard to find the real truth.
Unfortunately Sony has gone dark again on info considering the release is just around the corner.
