Then there's stuff like: Astro Bot only played a little bit, but its good silly fun. Hogwarts Legacy, haven't finished but it is a similar level to the other games not in my top 2 grouping, just much better ones took over from me playing it. Star Wars Outlaws which is definitely good enough for the list somewhere, so far. Even with its janky jank.
It's more like a tier system, and it probably fluctuates a little based on mood at the time. I guess it says a lot about the generation that some are PS4 games that got PS5 versions later on. But then there were also standout games like BG3 and Elden Ring, so there is that.
It's a weird one to rank things, because I can look at my time with Far Cry 6, and understand it's not the best game out there, but I know I really enjoyed my time in it at the time, sliding around, blowing sh** up, being a guerilla fighter, and saying "sneaky sausage" over and over when going into stealth, and then looking in awe at some really hilarious bugs, bugs that were funnier than the scripts in most games.
Other stuff i've tried but just not mentioned like Horizon FW and Spider Man 2, because sometimes lots of people saying a game is good, doesn't make it so. And they just didn't click with me compared to some of the others. Although I think Horizon is far better than SM2 for its unique IP alone and I enjoyed Zero Dawn, kind of, ish
