@themightyant Those are some decent Seele stats. Will you be changing over to Rutilant arena when you get your CR stats closer to 70% as you can use supports to supplement the difference. Sometimes I think space sealing was better for her. Speed at 199 with Asta? I think I need to focus on my Asta a bit more. Stopped using her once I got to JarilloVI and replaced her with Natasha. Looks like I've been missing out.
@z0d15g0d stats are pretty average for a late game players but I think they are ok for where I am, especially as a team in the field.
Yes I’ll move to Rutilant IF I can farm a decent set, she’s massively ATK buff heavy at the moment. (+ Ruan Mei or Bronya would help somewhat) I have 4 self modelling resin too, but I’m saving that till AFTER I have spent all my fuel to farm relics to get any major pieces I’m missing. (Still doesn’t guarantee substats)
I realised I can actually get up to 222 speed but only briefly for 1 turn every 3… or 4 with poor rotations.
Asta boosts speed of all team by 46 (at Trace Lv 8, 50 at Lv 10) for 2 turns with her ultimate. She can also boost ATK by 70% with her skill. She’s great in a lot of ways, but ATK boost is diminishing returns as you get it from so many sources, and the more you get the less it counts relatively. Which is why things Crit DMG and Element DMG are often more valuable buffs for your DPS.
Tingyun also gives 20% speed boost for 1 turn after using skill and then Seele using her Ultimate.
Seele also gets a 25% speed boost for 2 turns when she uses her skill.
So 115 base speed + 45% + flat 46 (Asta) + flat 9 (relic substats) = 222
What this means in reality is if I can get all the buffs up against weaker fodder (like farming) Seele gets about 4-6+ goes in row including her Resurgence talent (free turn when you kill an enemy) between skill and Ultimates. It can be more against waves of enemies. This is why even though she is a firmly a single target DPS she is included in some AoE tier lists. But it all falls apart if you can’t one bang enemies when fully buffed.
@themightyant
Got my Seele during the rerun as I knew she was coming I saved up Jades.
Seele - lv 80
Lightcone - In the Night (S1) lv 80
I swap with Cruising the Stellar Sea (S5) if I need an ice DPS in team 2 for MoC as Yanging needs all the help he can get even at E3.
Traces - 6/10/10/10 (all minor traces and bonus abilities unlocked)
Stats
HP - 3150
ATK - 3264
DEF - 1150
SPD - 123
CR - 77.0%
CD - 158.2%
Quantum DMG - 48.8%
Relics
4 piece Genius of Brilliant Stars all at Lv 15. 4 x 5-star. Crit rate body. ATK% boots
2 piece Rutilant Arena all at Lv 15. 2 x 5-star. Quantum DMG chain & ATK% rope
Besides Body only Head and Feet have CR sub stats and that's 2.5% & 11.0% which is why I still want to grind caverns so I can change Body to CD instead. 2 SPD substats.
Hands - ATK - 352
——————
ATK% - 4.3%
SPD - 4
CD - 12.9%
ERES - 11.6%
After looking through and typing up results in the same format as yours, Space sealing might be better for overall ATK DMG.
What's your Asta build as Seele's signature LC boosts damage exponentially based on her speed.
@z0d15g0d Wow! That’s more like it. Really solid build dude.
Though I think you are missing some calculation with the speed stat. Seele gets 25% SPD boost after her Skill for 2 turns and Tingyun gives 20% for one turn after you use your ultimate while under Benediction (Tingyun’s skill) you should already be above 160 speed when fully buffed for her Ult. Try checking her speed after skill and ult.
The signature light cone only buffs up to 160 SPD so you should be getting most of that already. I.e. You get 6% ATK and 12% CD per 10% over 100%, but only up to 160 speed. So 36% ATK and 72% CD max on top of 18% CR (An insane 60% ATK and 120% CD + 30% CR for S5 whales)
But even if you don’t always have 160+ you will likely be getting most of the benefit. In reality you are already getting half that on the buffed stats you gave (137 speed) and with another speed substat roll or two, or 3 more speed from elsewhere would take you to 4/6. But as I said you must be getting 6/6 buffs some of the time) I’m not sure Asta will add that much considering what you would lose. Who would you swap her with? Tingyun? Bronya? I think it’s likely to be a net DPS loss in most cases.
(TBH I’ve never looked at the signature LC’s ability before as I almost never wish on these banners, easier to pretend they don’t exist. But now I want it, lol)
I have too much ATK buffs and not enough in other areas like Crit Rate, Crit DMG and Quantum, yours seems like a really good balance. The way the total damage dealt equation works you do less total damage than it seems if you stack one normal stat too high. For me Ruan Mei (once I build her) or Bronya (once I get her) will be a better, more balanced Support than Asta right now, even if I lose the massive speed buff for 2 turns I would still be net positive DPS increase. She still gets +45% SPD from her kit + Tingyun. (Ruan Mei would add another 10%) so I could get 187 even without Asta.
@z0d15g0d also to add I can understand wanting to get enough CR subststs to get a CD body and take your build to the next level. But this becomes really, really hard to do without crazy luck… or more likely spending money to get fuel to farm domains. You can improve your build but not easily. It will take a lot of farming or luck and in the meantime you miss out upgrading other units
Obviously you do you, but gotta agree with @Shigurui here that it seems like a pretty good stopping point. Your build is pretty great without entering whale or ultra min-maxing territory.
EDIT. In Genshin I was in a similar position with Arataki Itto where I had his Signature Redhorn weapon and had built him throughly… but I wanted more. I also wanted a CD circlet and some more DEF% rolls as that is what he scaled off. And so I farmed his domain for about 3-4 months to try and improve my already pretty great build. I think I only ended up updating 2 of 5 pieces significantly and added a relatively small percentage to his total damage output for all the work. Wasn’t worth it in the long run imho. I would have been better off spending those finite resources improving other characters.
In HSR that seems even more important with different modes like SU, G&G, Swarm, MoC, Pure Fiction etc all requiring slightly different characters to excel. Hell even Herta has gone from the bottom of the DPS list to top of S tier behind SS DPS for pure fiction. Himeko ranked second in SS.
@themightyant I completely understand what you're saying but my goal in any rpg I play is to have all maxed out main classes and Seele is the only DPS main quantum I have. I want her to be in top form (I have QQ E6 but her SP hunger and randomness is way too detrimental to my current team synergies). Seeing other f2p players having a better kit just makes me want to do better lol, same issue I had with warframe for almost a decade. I'm more of a solo player so I try to ensure all my characters/builds can handle any situation (main reason I dropped Destiny cause you can't solo raids which have the best drops). I think my DHIL and Blade are better than Seele atm which is why I keep going back to improve her at every opportunity. I haven't touched DHIL since I built him cause he's good enough. I had to tweak Blade recently when I just got his SLC. I will probably do the same for DHIL when his rerun happens.
From recent history it seems I don't mind farming on end if I can get something good for a character. For the last month I've also been farming Yaqing's Hunter of Glacial Forests relics even though I only use him in Moc (now) and only against the gorilla elite lol. For some reason cause he has ice weakness also I use Yaqing even though Blade does a better job.
I've never focused on the min/max concept consciously but I'm guessing from my comments I probably do. I guess it's especially so from an "f2p" game where I see spending irf£ as losing a life lol.
After reading your "non deliberate Genshin Impact" comparisons I'm so tempted to pick it up again. Furthest I got was past the "wind temple boss" then the start of the ancient China level(can't remember the name). I think that was the 2nd world update after it launched, so I'm most likely quite a few years behind. HSR seems more suited to my current RL/Time gamer needs, it just needs more story updates than it currently does. Maybe zZz will do this as I intend to give that a go also.
@themightyant With regards to the Seele build I tried to keep it in line with the layout you used but there were a lot more %'s and stuff below that I am in no condition to calcuclate (if you get my drift lol). I'll try and get screenshots and post them if that might be easier, Also how do I post screenshots on here?
@z0d15g0d I absolutely get it. If that is your goal go for it! I look forward to seeing your Seele grow and would love to see your progress. Good luck dude.
It’s worth checking the speed thing, because I’m pretty confident you will be getting all the 160 SPD buff for her LC at least during her Ultimate if you play Tingyun and Seele together and order the buffs right.
This is part of what makes the game challenging (and fun imho) there is a real difference between theory - seeing the stats before battle - and reality - seeing the stats and buffs all working together in real time as they change dynamically. Seeing If the actual team synergises well, trying to guarantee Ultimates every X turns.
It’s like I said in a post above about giving Lynx a light cone to give Seele a bit more energy as I’m often around 5-10 energy short of reliably getting her Ult back up 1 turn faster, which would amplify my DPS significantly. Still working on optimising that, but things like a Superimposition of that Lynx 4 star light cone might be better for my account than many other upgrades.
The format I posted was probably sub-optimal, might have been easier to post screenshots but I couldn’t figure out how to get them from PS5 quickly. I believe you can post them in a similar way to spoiler tags

Again getting rid of the spaces in the two tags. The images must also be somewhere that allows sharing on other domains
@z0d15g0d Re: Genshin. They are SO similar in a lot of a ways but wildly different in others.
Both are about building teams of four and farming for better gear. But as Genshin is live action a lot of the skill is actually executing a strategy physically and adapting it in real time as the situation changes. You might have to change characters 4-5 times in a few seconds in a very specific order to lay down their buffs, debuffs and prep enemies with the right auras/elements all to set up your DPS for a nuke, or to go on a 10 sec rampage. You have to do all this while dodging enemy attacks etc. and managing stamina etc. it’s quite intense at times.
In HSR it’s kinda similar but also really different, as it’s not in real time physical dexterity doesn’t play a part at all, it’s more cerebral, the turn order dictates everything and your pre-fight setup is even more key. You might still have to change your plans a bit in real time to manage skill points or energy but it far more constrained.
I like BOTH they scratch slightly different itches.
But another BIG difference is Genshin is far easier, there is only one “hard” bit of end game content, the Spiral Abyss and frankly that takes about half an hour every 2 weeks to get at least 33 of 36 stars once you have a well built account. (Like HSR that will take months) it’s not really great for end-game builders. Of course many people do it anyway, but it’s pretty unnecessary imo, when you can beat the content without going THAT deep. HSR is a bit different there is a lot of endgame and it is tough you need more units and better units and teams to get through MoC, Swarm, PF etc!
But one thing I love about Genshin is exploring the map and world, it’s beautiful and I get pure joy every time they release a new map.
No x4 pic as it's very rare I ever get to x4 because everything is usually dead before then!
LOL. I don't know Jingliu specifically (I want her!) but that seems like a really solid build perhaps just missing SPD and a bit more Crit rate really (EDIT I see her kit gives her 50% CR ignore that)... though more ATK and CD never goes amiss. Really solid platform to build on.
What relics sets are you using? I assume you aren't using Speed boots, right? And CR body?
I noticed Prydwen has Recommended Endgame stats for SOME characters (sadly not Seele @z0d15g0d) which they have at the following. I've put yours in brackets
Do either of you have Jing Yuan? Previously I used "Today is Another Peaceful Day"S5 for his LC as that's the best 4* erudition (according to most sites) but since the release of "Ash Blazing Grand Duke" relic I seem to be doing a lot more damage with his followup attack using "The Birth of the Self" S5 instead. 96% damage increase is insane if the enemy has 50% or less HP. I haven't seen any similar builds on sites unless I missed them.
@Shigurui Ah okay, it seems the rerun order is different from the original launches now so no telling when he will make a comeback. This means I might also not get Jingliu for a while. Do either of you have Dot builds also? I can only think of Sampo and Kafka that do Dot. Not sure if it's worth building a team based on that.
@z0d15g0d No Jing Yuan as @Shigurui said we started later on PS5, and I started 4-5 weeks later I think. Similar for DoT I’ve only been playing about 7 weeks so have limited units built. Only really Seele, Tingyun, Asta, Lynx, Silver Wolf & Fire Trailbalzer are mostly levelled but all their relics are sub optimal. I haven’t really started relic farming yet.
I also have Welt, Ruan Mei, Bailu and Dan Heng all partially built. But looking forward to Dr Ratio next week to give me another good DPS and maybe levelling Himeko for Pure Fiction. That’s all going to take another few weeks.
But I have a question for you. How many units do you have built now? Wondering as you are 6+ months ahead of us. Are materials still a problem? Or are you using them all to farm relics?
@Shigurui according to Prydwen Genius set is only better on Jingliu by 1.5% if you are fighting a Quantum weak enemy, otherwise it’s 4% weaker. (Assuming all the same substats) with figures that close it’s all down to substat luck at the end of the day.
@themightyant Mats will always be an issue with f2p. I'm guessing it's designed that way. It's probably even more difficult for those who don't get the BP and EP.
At the moment the characters I have at Lv 80 are Argenti, Bailu, Blade, Clara, DHIL, Jing Yuan, Gepard, Himeko, Luocha, Bronya, SilverWolf, Seele, Tingyun, Yanqing, TB(fire), Natasha and Pela. Out of those the only ones with maxed out traces are Argenti, Jingyuan, Seele, the rest are at varying stages of almost completion. The credits cost is brutal that's why some of them have incomplete traces for the least useful ones like Bronya's basic attack lol. They all have 5* relics and ornaments so I'm just tweaking my builds to try and get the most out of them. Being fully kitted and still not able to do MoC 10 is annoying as hell as you can imagine. Then you see whale videos doing it in 1 turn . If there was more regular story content to sink my teeth into I probably wouldn't bother trying to finish the end game content.
@themightyant@Shigurui Will either of you be going for Kafka? I didn't get her first time round cause her boss kit is completely different from her normal kit. I might try for her next week 50/50 permitting.
@z0d15g0d me neither. She’s just not top of my list I’ve saving for Jingliu and Fu Xuan and maybe Luocha or DHIL… plus new Penacony characters. I’d like her, I just want other characters more.
Very light Spoilers in case you haven’t been following drip-fed marketing and leaks.
Sparkle is a Quantum Harmony support who might complete a Mono-Quantum team like Seele, Silver Wolf, Fu Xuan, Sparkle.
Black Swan is a Wind Nihlity DPS
I’m already up to 40 pity and have almost 50 wishes banked but will have more by the time 2.0 comes round to probably 100% guarantee one. Two if I win the 50:50s and pay for the daily wishes.
Re: Jing Yuan I honestly think they are waiting to re-run his banner as he keeps getting stronger with each patch. By the time they re-run it more people will spend.
A full 5* mono Quantum team does sound nice. If Jingliu rerun is close then I'd rather save for her also. I'll leave dot team building to the future. Do we know when 2.0 will launch roughly?
@Shigurui Wow that's some amazing luck. Hope it continues well into the future. That's a great build for Blade. Almost 9K HP is great as his damage scales off HP%.
I didn’t have much luck with farming Genius pieces for Seele, I only used a little more Fuel but still it’s always frustrating to get nothing.
So I ended up salvaging some of those and crafted 5 pieces for 500 relic remains including 1 ATK Boots (with 1 self-modelling resin) and also got 1 useable head piece from the rest. I was going to save the S-M resin but got impatient - The ATK piece I had before was 4-star and it had no substats I needed.
Have you guys used yours? If so what did you use it for?
The boots are still not a great piece, most substats aren’t what I need, but it did roll Crit DMG a few times which I desperately needed and is an upgrade. Also got a new 5 star Head that has a few rolls of Crit Rate, ATK % and Effect Res (always useful).
All in all it’s upgraded my Seele a little to:
ATK 2787 (+49)
SPD 122 (-2 still over 121 break point, before other buffs)
CR 56.3 (+9.1)
CD 107.1% (+10.3)
Modest gains but there’s a chance for a little more on these pieces as both are only Lv12. I’m too poor now, in money and materials, to take them Lv15. lol. It literally costs as much in money and materials to take them from 0-12 as it does from 12-15. After I’ve given Dr Ratio and maybe Himeko a scratch set I will come back.
The bigger gain on my account is levelling Ruan Mei. She’s not fully built yet, still has a scratch set of relics on her, and traces are only 3/7/7/4, but already it’s a big damage boost. In a team with Tingyun Seele is hitting for around 10k more on Crit when buffed.
