Hey everyone
Just like the title says, I wanted to ask you, are there any games that have made you cry, or at least gave you the feels?
Looking forward to your comments!

@stuzster I especially agree with Horizon. In my case, it's a bit different lol
Most of the games are interactive stories, such as Detroit: Become Human etc.

When Snake dies at The end of Mass Effect 3 and Sonic tells everyone he went out to buy another wheel of cheese. Pretty sure he didn't even like cheese.

Ecco The Dolphin when I was 8, the last boss was so hard I had a breakdown and collapsed in hysterics. Haven’t felt a single emotion since that day.

End of the first season for The Walking Dead.

When Goofy dies in Kingdom Hearts 2... but comes back. Wish that dang mutt stayed dead.

God of War got me choked up a couple of times. Can't think of any others recently

Pffft.... probably too many to name. I can get quite emotional. Off the top of my head:

Mass Effect 3 - Mordin Solus' sacrifice
The Walking Dead: Season 1 - Lee's death
The Walking Dead: The Final Season - The entirety of the last episode (most notably Clementine's bite)
Red Dead Redemption 2 - Predictably so, Arthur's death
Detroit: Become Human - Any time Kara or Alice were in danger (most notably my ending where they both died...)
Marvel's Spider-Man - Aunt May's death... and I say this as a non-Spiderman fan
Life is Strange 2 - The entire game, really

Funny that people are saying The Walking Dead because the end of the second game really got me. I was an absolute mess at this point and then a delivery driver turned up at the door!

Also, the end of the Autumn section of the original TLOU. One of those moments where I had to turn the game off for a bit afterwards.

No game ever made me cry but many games made me a little sad or made me question reality

To name a few:
1. The ending in Spider-Man PS4 was really sad and well played.
2. Bioshock Infinite was a massive shock for me and it was AWESOME!!!
3. God of War PS4 was really touching throughout the whole game!
4. The Ending of Half-Life Episode Two was one of the hardest hits on my mind
5. Singularity had one of those alternative endings that you think you know but you don't. Damn such underrated and hidden game!
6. Sanitarium - why is this game so good?

The only game that actually got me teary was 9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors, with the final puzzle. It's very memorable in the DS version, solving that sudoku puzzle. That scene is a bit different in other versions, changing it to a quick generic password solving puzzle or something.

Nier Automata has lots of feels as well, especially that bit when late on in the game, a certain android isn't feeling so good and wants to go to the old shopping centre.

Other games have also given me the feels, such as Red Dead Redemption 1, Persona 5, and Shadow of the Colossus.

Way too many to list entirely, but I remember the first game to make me properly cry, and that was Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, specifically its microwave corridor sequence.

I cry quite easily, though. There have been big, telegraphed cinematic moments where I've been supposed to cry, like some of the character moments in Mass Effect 3 for example, and others where I've just been overwhelmed by an emotion or atmosphere, such as swimming around in ABZÛ or figuring out my interpretation of RiME whilst walking down a nondescript corridor.

@crimsontadpoles Speaking of Zero Escape, Virtu’e Last Reward definitely had some seriously sad endings, especially Luna’s one.

I get teary eyed at surprisingly little these days, so lots of things. Just the other day the beginning of Final Fantasy VII Remake got me because the game has been such a long time coming. It felt pretty emotional to be finally playing it.

  • A specific point in Kingdom Hearts III because I associate one of the characters with a friend who committed suicide.
  • Nier Automata - 2B's death.
  • The final Act of Metal Gear Solid 3. And then a few months later Metal Gear Solid 4.
  • A scene in Dragon Quest XI during the first visit to Dundrasil where the characters have a memorial for the Hero's dead parents. I'd just found out my Grandma only had a few days to live so was feeling pretty emotional. The beauty and sadness of the scene really struck a nerve.
  • The end of BioShock Infinite: Burial at Sea. Brutal!
  • Final Fantasy X was one of the first games to make me cry when Tidus faces Jecht inside Sin.

@Thrillho Good shout on TLOU, that whole section was quite an attack on the emotions.

Red Dead Redemption 2. The whole game was a rollercoaster of emotions.

Definitely the end of The Walking Dead season 1 and Marvel's Spider-man. Other games like the Red Dead and it's sequel, TLOU and God of War had some emotional weight to them but not really on the same scale as those first 2.
