@jdv95 cheers again bud. Yeah YK needed two and the car chase on Legendary was frikkin’ ridiculous. Maybe the biggest plat-blocker I’ve ever encountered… though the satisfaction on eventually getting through it was palpable.
I got number #55 in my collection on my tea break today as I just needed to finish off the final battle in Nobody Saves the World on NG+. A very enjoyable indie that whilst not on the same level as the Guacamelee! games from the same developer was still very good indeed.
Congrats @render, I’m pretty sure I have this in my backlog (or on my wishlist perhaps), looks really good and glad you enjoyed. Any co-op required for the plat mate?
@colonelkilgore Cheers man. You'll be glad to know no coop is required for the plat at all.
Whilst I initially played a little couch coop with the missus I carried on solo after she didn't really take to it as much as I did. The main differences are that you can get through dungeons so much quicker as a pair as you get respawned in that mode 5 or so seconds after a death as long as the other player doesn't die at the same time. You can also rack up cash and other items so much quicker but towards the middle of the game I didn't find I was struggling for that anyway.
I'm sure you will find the game very enjoyable when you get around to it 😀
My fiance learned how to play Mahjong (or, at least, Yakuza Mahjong) to get the platinums in every Yakuza game, and then she taught me so I could do it.
well done guys! @jdv95 Shout out to anyone with the perseverance to platinum any Yakuza game, let alone multiple of them. Hurrah to you.
@render
As a sometimes fan of indie stuff and Drinkbox's previous efforts that's one that's been on my radar since I first saw it. Glad to know you enjoyed it. How long did it take?
“We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be.”
@sorteddan Thanks too. Pretty sure it was around the 45 hour mark but to be honest I played it a lot with the kids and we spent loads of time messing around with different builds. If you get your head down then I reckon it’s possible in considerably less time.
Just got the platinum for Neon White. Absolutely love the game, wish I knew how broken it was on PS5. I knew about the screen tearing and similar issues but I didn't realize the game's autosave function wasn't working. Had the trophy for getting all gifts glitch out; looked online and there were accounts saying they got the trophy after restarting the game. So I did only to be greeted by "New Game" and nothing else.
@Azex congrats bud, though as someone who’s looking forward to playing and plat’n Neon White that glitch is concerning. I’m assuming that you had to play the whole thing through again to get that final trophy?
Platinum #122 - Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune - third time that I’ve played through it over the years… and I enjoyed it more than ever. The Crushing difficulty added a layer of tactical play that I hadn’t experienced in the series before and was far more fun because of it. Looking forward to squaring-away the rest of the trilogy throughout the year before playing Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy for the first time in 2024.
@The_Moose I am taking it easy (well easier) I promise… I’m just putting in the work right now as I’ve promised to take the missus shopping on one of my mid-week days off this month so I’m 12 hours down on my hours-to-be-played for January if you get me.
In regards to Uncharted I’ve only played the first three… and I played them before I was the obsessed trophy-whore that stands before you today. I remember finding challenging parts on all three back in the day (& on Normal difficulty too) but once I got used to Crushing difficulty (took around an hour) it was plain sailing tbh. That might change when I try the others I don’t know. They’re great games though… never really appreciated them as I was always looking for open-world action rpg’s and the like… but I guess that our tastes change and I’m onboard right now for sure.
@The_Moose cheers buddy, yeah I can’t complain tbh… and I love a moan if I have the chance 😅. What you working on post-conquering Dragon Age: Inquisition’s Nightmare mode anyway… something a little more chill I’d wager?
@colonelkilgore Too rights. I've been having a bit of a mare since Christmas and been seemingly none stop since New Year so not much time to invest. Been playing through an indie murder mystery called Rainswept. Nothing difficult and quite engaging story wise so far, see what happens at the end though, platinum is a breeze and easily done by games end.
Also playing FIFA 22 now and then, in two minds to go for the platinum as it's one of those games I think most trophy hunters don't even strive for really.
