@The_Moose Cheers. The thing with nostalgia trips is that they are usually not quite as magical the second time around, but I seemed to enjoy Spyro more with this remastered trilogy. Perhaps I didn't give it enough time to click back in the day. I did only rent it from my local video shop after all!
@Thrillho I remeber having particular trouble with an ox in Spyro 2, as well as that frog. Those two dragons in the third game were tricky as well. I'm definitely with you on preferring the Spyro trilogy to the Crash trilogy as well. Quite a controversial opinion, and one that would have got us lynched in the late 90s/early 2000s. Or at least mocked in the playground. Well done on Origins by the way. I'll be going for that in the new year.
@sorteddan I can never keep up with this thread! I'm hoping to get the platinum for Spirit of the North over the next week, should be a nice easy, quick one.
Good job, Parappa. You can go on to the next stage now.
Big news. So I got my first ever! platinum trophy this Sunday. For me as a PlayStation player this represent something special of course The game which I platinumed was actually Marvels Spider-Man game. Eh I think its kind of funny in the sense that I really liked Spider-Man as a kid. I think for example that the first ever superhero movie I watched as a child was the 2002 Spider-man movie (which was something I was much looking forward to back in the days and was a dream to do to). Although I know a lot of you guys frequently platinum games I have found it tremendously hard to do actually . Iam anyway very glad that it was the Spider-Man game I platinumed Makes very excited to soon play the Miles Morales game (not speaking about the sequel).
@RogerRoger Although I know its a bit off topic but I must state I really liked what I have played of Sonic Frontiers so far. It really feels like a Sonic simulator in the sense that you really feel like Sonic when playing the game. Its really amazing how nice the game play and what the developers archived with it . I think its a game that truly lives up to the promise (can´t understand the negative in the reviews of the game). Again its the feeling that dreams can come true. Its so just nice being Sonic and running around in the world.
Congrats on # 44 @MightyDemon82, you planning on going for something in particular for #50?
And a MASSIVE congrats to @oliverp on what I’m sure will be the first of many. And it’s good that it was on something that means something to you too. Welcome to the club buddy!
@oliverp Congratulations on your first. Slippery slope you're on now. If you're like many of us here, you need to see a platinum next to every game on your trophy list.

@RogerRoger@colonelkilgore Thanks both of you and I'm not quite sure If I'll have a particular game lined up for #50. When I first joined the PS eco system I never paid much attention to trophies but now I fancy going back and replaying games just to pop the trophies, big game at the moment is Tales of Arise but I have plenty indies I'm excited to dive into
@colonelkilgore Nice work, congrats on those. I also have the plat for Arrog - real frikin weird game. Still want to revisit Edith Finch but I get it’s not everyone’s bag.
@oliverp Great work on that first platinum, congrats.
I managed to unexpectedly platinum The Callisto Protocol last night. I wasn’t expecting to get it as i was sure I’d missed some collectibles and wasn’t enjoying it enough to go back to do them as well as a maximum difficulty play through. Somehow though the trophy for the collectibles popped on the second to last chapter and I tried the fiddle to manual save and change the difficulty after the last boss and that worked with my disc version unpatched. Not disappointed to have played the game as there’s been some high points but I’m also glad I’m finished with it. I would still recommend it if you are into the sci-fi horror genre and want something that’s a solid 7/10.
Congrats on the surprising platinum @render… always a nice feeling when you manage to pop one that you weren’t altogether convinced that you’d be able to get done.
Do you think that will be a one off for you then? It’s a nice achievable list for that game where you don’t have to go too much out of your way to get the full set.
But before you know it you will have suddenly gone from just having to visit a location to trigger the only missing trophy to replaying a whole game to get the one trinket you’ve missed to get the shiny plat
A genuinely phenomenal game, which did motivate me to go for essentially 100%. The last little bit was annoying but the grind to level 99 took me about an hour so that was fortunate. The final final secret boss can go die though, I bloody hated that thing. 90 hours of my life but it was totally worth it! I get why they’re revisiting Dragon Quest III though after that post-credits scene.
@nessisonett congrats on that, sounds like some serious work… albeit enjoyable work. I actually have this in my backlog (though not the S version) I have no idea when I’ll find 90 hours for it though.
@nessisonett congrats, I have actually had this on my list for so long it's criminal that I haven't actually played it yet. Nice one for the plat, roughly how long did it take to achieve it?
@MaulTsir 90 hours! I did crack the level 99 grind though, so if you aren’t hunting metal slimes through a specific ability that three of your characters can use then it could take you another 5 or 6 hours.
@colonelkilgore I’m not sure if you’d have the original version automatically upgraded to the S version or not but I’d absolutely recommend playing that version instead as it adds a whole lot of content.
@RogerRoger Amidst all the Lego games, there are a few platinums that are a bit more effort!
@nessisonett I’m sure I’d be able to find a copy of the S version relatively cheap by the time I plan on playing it. I’ll do a bit of research and check out whet extra it offers.
Got the platinum in GOW Ragnarok this afternoon. Wire to wire one of the best most enjoyable games I've played in the last 30+ years, an absolute masterpiece.
Also got the NFS Unbound plat last week, great way to end off the year with 2 of my favorite franchises!
@redd214 congrats on your two recent plats… and while I haven’t played Need for Speed: Unbound, I totally agree with your praise for God of War: Ragnarok, an unbelievable game!
Wow did not expect such a response. Thanks anyway to everyone who took time and congratulate me for the platinum. Appreciate it very, very much. I of course hope to continue my journey with PlayStation and this community which hopefully will include more trophies going forward
Platinumber #147 Gris (PS5)
I was made up when I found this was getting a free PS5 upgrade and more than happy to once again help Gris restore some colour to their world and overcome their grief.
An absolutely lovely little indie gem.
Also my first shiny in more than a month. It's good to be back.
@oliverp
Excellent effort getting your first plat in the bag, and a great game to be your first as well.
@redd214
Well done on your recent double. Although the year's not over yet you know, still time for more!
